Love and regards, Sreenadh vedic astrology , " Sreenadh " <sreelid wrote: Dear Swee, The 28 Nakshatra scheam was used when the geocentric path of moon was used for the nakshatra divisions. Originally such divisions were counted from Abhijith Nakshatra (Since if only you count nakshatras from Abhijith, all Yoga Tharas will fall with in their respective divisions). But later this system become corrected and to correct the zodiac division system based on systematic mathametical foundation, division geocentric path of sun in to 27 equal parts (13 degree 20 min each) was introduced. Abhijith was very far away from this path, and there for left out from the scheam. Thus came into existance the 27 Nakshatra scheam of equal division. Hope this helps, Love, Sreenadh --- End forwarded message ---
