Guest guest
Dear Balasubramaniamji, I certainly to understand your plight and its not only you & me, many others too have had the disbelief on astrology because of many fake astrologers or most of them are not thoroughly well versed with the Vedic Shastra. Saying that, I dont mean to condemn the traditional astrology as its very vast and the correct interpretation of the charts and predicting the event is gained by experience as well as with the Grace of God. In the last couple of decades, lot of research has been going on in the Krishnamurti Padhahati more popularly known as KP systems initiated by Guruji KSK. This branch of astrology is trying to bring back some faith of people into astrology by their system & prediction where Guruji KS Krishnamurthi has made based on his systematic approach. Their level of predictions are quite good and with my personal experience I find it more than 85% right. (Please do not think that I am advocating or advertising for KP systems) Now coming to your mail regarding the marriage of your daughter ; First I would suggest to look for an experienced KP astrologer (Since you have met so many traditional astrologers and for a change).Once you have narrowed down the astrologer, give the birth details to him/her and ask him whether Birth Time Rectification is required as Birth Time is very important along with the location of Birth .With the corrected BT, a chart erected to give the generalness of the native. Now you ask him the specifics - start with whether marriage is visible in the chart and if yes, then when its likely to happen ? and so forth I feel that if marriage is seen in the chart they can go to the extent to say from which direction to look for the groom. Once all this is done, please let me know then we shall discuss how to go further. Please note that I am not an expert, I am a novice and its is my humble suggestion & not my advise (this is my personal opinion and it may differ from others as well as I dont have any right to say that KP is better than traditional astrology) : if it was my daughter's case then this is how I will proceed as I am worried about my daughter's marriage - which is like going to the right doctor though there are doctors in plenty. Goodluck & God bless. PS : This is my personal opinion and I dont want to stir up any controversies with the traditional astrology Gurus. My Saadar Pranams & Respects to all of them for the development of astrology. Guest guest
Dear Balasubramanianji, Namaste, It is very painful to know that you have gone to more than 150 astrologers all over the country and nobody could satisfy you and in desperation you are now asking " " Why could not even a single astrologer predict the correct timing of marriage or declare that there is no marriage for her in this birth. " I can understand the anguish of a father with a marriageable daughter in home. A man who believes in astrology may say that as the marriage had not occurred so far there was obviously no yoga for marriage so far and the astrologers might not have wanted to break your heart by telling you the truth. A man who does not believe in astrology may ask you why did you waste so much money and efforts unnecessarily as the astrology is bunkum and one of the non-believers will go to the extent of ridiculing astrology by saying that the astrologers can give true predictions only from wrong data. As the astrologers failed to give you any predictions that person may even say that the data in your daughter's horoscope are correct. Argumentations apart I suggest that do not give up hope and do not give up your efforts. Take your daughetr to a beautician and if possible let her also attend a personality development course conducted by any of the reputed organisations. If possible please go to the Kanyakumari temple and pray to Mother Kanyakumari and she will help you. I hope she is utilising her time gainfully and is also learning new things / subjects If you would have given the details of your daughter's horoscope may be some members having knowledge of astrology in the group could have given you some good suggestions free of cost unless you lost faith in astrology once for all. You may be aware that the horoscope has its own value. It the olden times there was no way one could record the birth details accurately other than with the help of the positions of the Stars. For that purpose the ancient Hindu astronomers considered some divisions in the ecliptic (the Go-path). They divided the ecliptic into 27 divisions and identified these by associating them with the fixed stars ie. the fixed Nakshatras. They also associated the movement of the Moon with these Nakshatras. The Moon spends one day in one Nakshatra. They didvided the ecliptic into 12 divisions and called the divisions as rashis and the Sun spends one month in one rashi. Then considering the diurnal motion of the Sun they found that the Sun spends 2 hours in one rashi and that is called Lagna and each degree of the lagna is equivalent to 4 minutes. I am nit going to the details (though not so intricate) of it here. All these are in the geocentric representation of the Zodiac. When a child is born the astronomical data are recorded and this document is called horoscope. Because of the astronomical details given in the Mahabharata and Ramayana we can date the Mahabharata war and the events related to Lord Rama. From the position of the grahas as well as the datails of the solstices / euinoxes as to in which nakshatra they occurred one can date any past event. By knowing the tithi and the Nakshatra in which the Moon was there one can even find the date and by knowing the lagna one can find the time of birth correctly within two hours. If the degree in the Lagna is known then the time can be told correct upto four minutes. Such is the usefulness of the horoscope. However in course of time some ancient rishis gave subjective interpretations of the horoscopes to relate the events in a person's life with the positions of the grahas and that is how astrology is born. No astrologer can predict all the events correctly. We Hindus do believe in the past karma and that may affect us alright but that does not mean that we should give up efforts. Can anybody prove the existence of God? Yet we believe in God. Likewise if anybody believes in astrology let him believe in it. Pleave him alone if you lost faith in astrology yourself. It is one's personal decision to believe in astrology or not. I have lost my nearaest and dearest one and the doctors in one of the best hospitals in India could not help and yet I have not lost faith in doctors. Regards, Sunil K.
