help me to write kp astology program

Hello There,

I Balkrishna, am KP beginner , I wanted to write KP

astrology software (non-commercial, free-ware ), Can you help me out,

Or can you refer me with some books , How to start with and where to

begin with??? Any help will be highly appreciated OR if anyone want to

buid the same program, please do take my help...

Dear Balkrishna Ji

 

The important pre-requisites to write any astrology software are as

follows:

1. You should have a sound grounding in Astronomy to understand what

sidereal time, nutation, orbital elements, geocentric, topocentric

etc.. mean.

2. You will need a calculation engine which can accurately calculate

the Planetary and House Cusp Positions for any given place, and

time. For this you may either write your own calc engine or use a

readily available world class library called as the Swiss Ephemeris

(Astrodienst.com). This library is free if you want to publish open

source software. If you plan to write your own engine, please refer

to one or more of the following:

a) Jean Meaus - astronomical algorithms,

b) Paul Schytler - he has written formulae to calculate planetary

positions - available on the internet - just type his name in Google

and it will lead you to his page.

3. you need a solid understanding of the calculative physics of

vedic astrology - even for KP this is a pre-requisite.

4. You need sound KP knowledge - if not interpretation - atleast

what significators mean, how to get to compute them etc. - for this

read the 6 readers of Shri Shri KSK guruji - available from a list

of book shops - the list is available in this same group page

(Files).

I am currently on the verge of completing a vast software in KP

astrology - I plan to publish it free for KP lovers. You will soon

see an announcement on this site - you may download my software and

use it for your understanding - not that I am someone very

knowledgeable - but just that when I started 3 years ago to write KP

software, I was faced with the same questions as you are facing now.

I can relate my earlier position with your current one.

Unfortunately at that time maybe I did not look for help in the

right place or something like that I could not get much help. The 6

readers of KP (new editions) were my rescue.

Dear Balakrishna,

 

There is a reference by Dr. Kumara Sanjaya that he is almost

completing his software which he wants to give to the KP community

free. You also intend to do the same. I suggest, you collaborate and

come up with a good software
