Guest guest
Sir, i get confused when number of days in any Grahadasha are to be counted. would anyone clarify whether a year should be taken as containing 365 days or 360 days? our KP System acknowledges Vinshottari Mahadasha. this was introduced thousands of years ago. it is improbable that those sages would be counting 365 days of a year because they were using ChandraMasa calander. this year contains only 354 days a year. astrologers nowadays use existing christian calander of 365 days a year. the difference in number of days while working out current dasha of a particular horoscope of a person 60 years old canbe morew than a year in such a case and the predictions can go mwrong as far as time is concerned. sujat karambelkar. Guest guest
The KP year is the solar year of 365.25 days. However for convenience, one uses 1 year equal to 12 months, and one month equal to 30 days. When adding dates one will have to adjust the results if one gets 30 feb or say 31 st june... In a chart one sees Dasa of .... balance xx years, yyy months, zzz days, ends on aaa date, bbb month, ccc yrs. Next dasa is taken to start on the same date, and month, and end after ccc+ zz year. Where zz is the no of yrs allotted to the Dasa lord in the Vimsottari sysytem hope this is clear Sir,i get confused when number of days in any Grahadasha are to be counted. would anyone clarify whether a year should be taken as containing 365 days or 360 days? our KP System acknowledges Vinshottari Mahadasha. this was introduced thousands of years ago. it is improbable that those sages would be counting 365 days of a year because they were using ChandraMasa calander. this year contains only 354 days a year. astrologers nowadays use existing christian calander of 365 days a year. the difference in number of days while working out current dasha of a particular horoscope of a person 60 years old canbe morew than a year in such a case and the predictions can go mwrong as far as time is concerned. sujat karambelkar. Guest guest
Dear Surjakaram The Vimsottari Dasa only is used KP. The years allotted to each planets are Solar Years. There is no problem in this. It is when subdividing this year into months and days that problems arise. PROF KSK has clarified it in his works. Since Computers were not available during his days, he adopted a simple division of 12 months and 1 month= 30 days. The solar year is 365.25 days on a average. Do the THE Vimsotari Dasa of MOON is 3652.5 DAYS, not dates. Now you try subdividing for Each Bhukti: For example, Moon Bhutki in Moon dasa will be (3652.5)/120 * 10 304.708.. days. Now Moon antara in this bhukti will be (304.708....)/120 * 10 = 25.3757..... days. try that for other planets like Rahu with 19 years, Mercury with 17 years, and do it manually| You will realise why a simpler form was adopted. You can make a sw using 365.25 days as a year, but you will land into anamoloies, due to rounding up. First learn to predict an event within +/- 5 days using the present methods, then try refining good lucksujatkaram <sujatkaram wrote: respected Sir,if astrology is to be raised to the level of science, we must forget about convenience and do the calculations strictly as per maths. . before that it must be decided as to how many days a year in Vinshottari mahadasha contains. is it 365 days or 360 days or 354 days?Shukra Mahadasha has a period of 20years. is it equal to 7300 days or 7200 days or 7080days? i have not taken Nakshatra-year into consideration which is a mistake. this year contains 327 days according to which the Shukra mahadasha will be of 6540days only. considering the fact that KP System is based and gives tremandous importance to Nakshatras why should not we take the Nakshatra year into consideration for calculating mahadasha periods?regards, sujat karambelkar.Good LuckRaichur A RBombay Tel 2506 2609 Get your email and more, right on the new .com
