Dear Raichur Ji and Friends,

I like to seek your views on the following:

1. What softwares are available for match making in the Indian system?

2. How do they tackle matching for doshas/papa count?

3. Have you had occassion to study/research into the validity/basis of such

matching approach and what is your considered view?

4. I am enclosing the birth data of a girl, where I find the 12th/8th house

effect to be ready to operate. I find this to be quite daunting. If this girl

should be matched, what would be the approach taken OR would you simply take a

look at the girl's horoscope in isolation, forecast married life and proceed on

that basis.Even if you did that what kind of matching dosha will compensate and

why? This is a challenging case, where we can figure out how does astrology

practically put to use.

Girl's Birth data

Name : Anusha (pseudoname)

Date of birth : 24.12.1981

Time of birth 9.42.A.M

Place of birth : Chennai

If you wanted to proceed further for a sample matching of papa/dosha, here is

a boy's

birth data:

Name: Krishna (pseudoname)

Date of birth : 11.8.1978

Time of birth: 3.45.AM

Place of birth: Bangalore

Dear Shesh Kumar

I have a SW for matching, based on the priciples of KP matching by Shree

Kuppuganapathi. This uses some Traditional values but mainly KP priciples.

To the priciple of KP, I have added checking of teh Mangala Dosha, and check

for children.

For my personal use only, I have a programme, based on Traditional rules

YOYAK, based on an atricle by ......(Iforget the name.

I have also a programme to check matching based only on the Birth Star of the

Boy and Girl. Mostly used by Northen Traditional Astrolgers. where elements are

checked, and total given >Max is 36. These tables are printed in almost all

Traditional

Panchang.

I also made a Sw for the Southern system of Purutham, but the rules are not

very explicit.

In KP we do check up the Mangal Dosha only, and match boy and girl who have

similar dosha. This Dosha is considered only on Mars position From Lagna.

Some Southerners check this Dosha form MOON and also Venus.

The rules are mostly based on friendships/enemity beteen planets, and some on

Mutual Aspects between Planets in the two charts. For examples, AGNI signs are

enemical to Watery Signs, and friendly to Airy signs etc.

The Western system of Matching is also based on practical logical

Astro principles.

I do no the exact rules of matching by Vedic Astrolgers.

I will do the matching for the girl and boy, and send it to you later
