Guest guest
Dear Anurodh, This is interesting. In my case two years back I sat down to take stock, whether I should continue to be in Financial Services (stock market/equity research) or would I do better in journalism. I did this examination on ground realities. Financial services sees fluctuations depending upon cycles in equity markets/economy whereas journalism persists all the time in better shape. I chose journalism, and it happens to be related to financial markets. And I have found it has definitely helped. So my recommendation to any one is check the stars and do a combined reading of an assessment of the ground reality in your field or possible fields. That is the first step. The next step is to check out how are you finances likely to be, and also about how would your 10th and 6th help in terms of position, career reputation and their link to income. Then make the choice. Also it pays to check out the negatitivity and avoid those areas. For example, I have not made it good in stock investing, more because I have too wide interests to be able to give pointed attention. That is part of my personality and my horoscope show that I could lose in stock trading. That part is indeed true, again because I get distracted,so to say. In brief, I beleive it is best to read the stars, and take stock of ground reality and then choose. And then keep track! I hope this is interesting and helpful. Regards, Seshadri Dear Sheshadri Ji, Your advise is worth. It is the truth but....if it is taken as research then i think some links must be there for it in the natal chart or prasna chart as the case may be for the type of profession one is doing. It is enigmatic that why does a person in a perticular profession even though his abilities are far worth for some other field. I am my self an example for it. Everybody who knows me well says that I am a good orator (this is what they say.....now I also feel that oratory is above average in me but not that good as people say....), they like the way I explain things and people have always appriciated my knowledge lavel in my field but I am in sales where one has to be a very different person......I personally feel that I am good in teaching and making others understand the concepts ..... but my ability has a limited scope in my field. I am trying now to be in the training department of some company but ....let us see. It is just an expression on what you said. regards, Anurodh Sesh Krish <kseshadri_2000 wrote: Dear Anurodh, My personal stand based on my long experience is that it is not worthwhile trying to figure out what profession/job a person is from his horoscope, for the combinations are numerous. If one wants to do research that is a different matter. Again, it is quite another if one wants to advise some one on his career, when he is in trouble one can look at the planets governing his job/profession. My finding in a majority of cases is that a person is into a profession, which often does not have as much close corelation to his significators. If significators are to be relied upon he should be into some other profession within the general cluster of choices indicated by the planets. Yet, when yousee a horoscope of a student about to choose a line, it is profitable I believe to tell him how the planets are positioned and what is favoured and then checkout how that tallies with his own particular abilities and inclinations. Astrology then serves a purpose. With regards, Seshadri Dear Anurodh ji, No problem take your sweet time. I am sure we will learn some important finding from our discussion. regards kanak Anurodh Kumar <anurodh1 wrote: Dear Lajmi ji, Kanak, Sheshadri ji, I am very busy with my job and finding very less time even to come on net but, I will certainly post my examples next week to the list. The approach has helped me to funnel down to some limited options one can have. I consider, occupants+cusp Lord+star lord+sub lord & occupants of the stars of all these lords. The cusp for profession are X+II+VI cusps. I take the ruling planets at the time of judgement ( for both natal chart or horary chart, as the case may be) and land with some significators at the end by elimination process with the help of RPs. For shortlisted planets, I also consider the sign they are occupying. I make a matrix of all these and put the professions which are common for all planets and signs. With the help of the running dasa and antra the final shortlist of profession can be drawn. I give attention to the houses strongly represented by these planets like 3h shows communication, travelling or writting profession, 7H shows business like work, 5H shows brokering of shares or speculative activities and so on. Kanak, I am still applying this on the cases I deal with and I am not claiming anything but I have made my own notes from 11 books which include comphensive info about signs, planets and houses on various aspects and profession is one of them. This I was having to share with you on this topic. My fellow members may differ from me on my approach.
