I was curious about the connections between Charles Darwin and Abraham

Lincoln, whose births were separated by about 10 hours, depending on

the accuracy of the birth data for 12 Feb 1809.

A site, astrotheme.com, appeared to provide an inconsistent

late-Scorpio (tropical) ascendant for Lincoln, suggesting that both

individuals might have sidereal Scorpio rising, but Lincoln's looks to

be at the beginning of Aquarius, a little before sunrise, for 06:54 at

Hodgenville KY, for which I found coordinates of 37º34'16 " N;

85º44'19 " W. I treated that time as local meridian time, but view it

with scepticism. Lahiri positions work out to sun=2º16'Aqr;

moon=5º48'Cap; asc=0º33'Aqr

Darwin's birth was cited as approximately 3 AM local time, at the

Mount, Shrewsbury, Shropshire; coordinates of 52º42'46 " N; 2º45'47 " W,

for which I get Lahiri positions of sun=1º52'Aqr; moon=0º17'Cap;

asc=16º18'Sco (with allowances for birth time rounding).

Using Maitreya's Dream for calculations, I noted that both charts

indicated extraordinary strength for Jupiter in the Dasa Varga

evaluation, literally " Sridhama " or favorable in all ten of the

divisional charts used in that calculation. Darwin's moon has the same

excellent rating under that system, and would probably hold allowing

for birth time inaccuracy, as the 60th-division chart is sensitive to

position brackets of half a degree.

On sees in the two men the power to discover a new understanding of

natural law and culturally shift philosophical perspectives in a

profound way. Perhaps others here will find a lot more interesting

parallels that I've overlooked in hasty curiosity. I hope so! ;)
