So, Flatley's fame and career >(the MC, its ruler Mercury) have enabled his wealth and well-being (PoF >right on the ascendant ruled and closely received by Mercury). So for Fagan-Bradley emphasis we have a Mercury ruled M.C. Can this compare to a vargottama Sun and Moon in 10th per Jyotish? Mercury is already emphasized as the ascendant lord, and it's in the same sign as vargottama Sun and Moon--Moon is especially important since it's in its own sign. The question was whether Valens' description of Gemini (Fagan-Bradley) might fit Michael Flatley. Here (in part) is a quote from Valens: " Those so born, then, become fond of discourse, those who work with letters and education, poetic, lovers of music, teachers of the use of the voice, capable in matters of household management, those who receive trust. They also become interpreters, those with an aptitude for commerce, critics of good and bad, prudent, curious, initiates in occult matters. " (The Anthology, Book 1, Project Hindsight, 1993, p. 11) Only the reference to music might fit Michael Flatley. It's obvious that Valens is taking most of these traits from Gemini's lord, Mercury. Then to repeat your Valens quote regarding Cancer: " Those so born, then, will be fond of repute, popular, changeable, theatrical, cheerful, fond of pleasure and entertaining, public, inconstant in knowledge, saying one thing but thinking another, those who do not remain with one activity or two for long, who end up wandering and sojourning abroad. " As for changeability, Michael Flatley never stayed long with one company, leaving over creative disagreements, starting his own company, and then leaving that as well before forming yet another company. Of course any international performer these days travels a great deal. Not that everything Valens wrote is necessarity correct. He drew together diverse views he found on his travels, and summarized concepts as best he could. Therese
