Guest guest
I'm temporarily skipping over the Moon-Jupiter theory that underlies sidereal Cancer (since I'm still pulling my notes together), and giving biographical notes on Michael Flatley. Flatley is a good case for ayanamsa study because his Sun and Moon in the 10th house are just into Cancer with the Krishnamurti ayanamsa (Moon 0 deg 9 minutes, and Sun 0 deg 29 minutes.) The Lahiri ayanamsa would also place his Sun and Moon in Cancer, but Fagan-Bradley would have him in the final degree of Gemini. For Jyotish astrologers both his Sun and Moon are vargottama, in Cancer as well. NOTES ON MICHAEL FLATLEY: A shining example of sidereal Cancer is Michael Flatley whose mega grossing, theatre packing show " Lord of the Dance " made him a household name and popularized Irish dancing. Anyone who has seen Michael on stage knows that his sparkling, magnetic presence and smile give a very special magic to his show. This theatrical aura is likely lunar rather than solar. Michael Flatley obviously loves to perform, and though other dancers may have as much dancing skill, they don't sparkle as Flatley does. (Or did sparkle. Michael is over 50 now.) Admittedly, Michael's special aura may be just as firmly tied to Jupiter in the first near the ascendant. Jupiter conjoins both Spica and Arcturus and is also vargottama in Virgo. Michael's Sun and Moon receive the 3 degree square from Mars in Aries, so in his case the 'planets in own sign' dictum holds for luck, success, honors and recognition. Michael was recognized by the Guinness Book in both 1999 and 2000 for being the highest paid dancer, earning $1,600,000 per week and for having the highest insurance premium placed on a dancer's legs at $40,000,000. (Mega Jupiter influence here...) He is worth £350 million, and has homes in Barbados, Chicago, France, Ireland and London. (Jupiter is 4th lord: landed properties) In Michael's horoscope the Sun is lord of 12th (feet), and Moon is lord of 11th--gain: Michael Flatley, July 16, 1958, 11:55 a.m. Chicago, IL These notes are only partial. Others here may want to add additional notes on Michael Flatley's life. So do any Fagan-Bradley users want to make a case for Sun and Moon in Gemini? (I'll find Valens' notes on Gemini or Sari may wish to post them.) Therese
