And we can always hope that McCain's birth time is wrong, which would negate the return charts. But Obama's charts don't look so good, although his natal Saturn (ascendent lord) is on the inaugural M.C., and inaugural Moon is on his natal M.C. That looks good, doesn't it??!! Two exact and personal contacts. I'd say that using the inaugural chart we could make a case for both candidates winning. It's really difficult to decide using psychological astrology. So the fact that Obama's SR Saturn on cusp 7 is squaring natal Moon at the nadir could be intepreted as a lot of responsibility. But traditional astrology would say that an angular Saturn indicates defeat. There's so much more research we have to do. This is why if you take all astrologers together, they'd only come out at chance or below chance in correct predictions. Even the best can miss--meaning an astrologer can have a great predictive track record, but still miss on the next one. I find it difficult to use only transits to event charts to guess at a winner because it seems that there are usually contacts to all the candidates' charts. I'd say though that the exact inaugural contacts to Obama's chart go against what the solar returns seem to say. So there's hope!! Guest guest
Hmmm, it is almost as if Obama is running against Palin, not McCain. I think that it is also important to compare Palin's chart with Biden's, because during the debates, she will be up against him, not Obama. Either Biden might win the debate, but lose the war, if he is seen to be bullying her; or Obama could try to rein Biden in so the latter won't be seen as a bully. If that happens, Palin could go baracuda had try to devour Biden, causing Biden to swing from attack dog to " nice guy " and back again. But, then Biden does have a LOT of experience, so I am rather sure he is aware of these issues. I don't have any dates for the debates. I don't know if they have been fully decided. In a fair debate, Biden should win handily. However, when it comes to campaigns and debates, so far, the Repubs. have always been shrewed like Eddie Haskell against the Dems' Beaver Cleaver. >... Oh, yes, I know you haven't finished. I wasn't trying to rush you. Stephen
