Guest guest
Thank you for the suggestions regarding the location of fixed stars as those files are a great start. I wonder if anyone knows of a bit of a more complete listing for the location of fixed stars? Hi Randy, The most complete list of (tropical) stars on the internet was on Anne Wright's old site, Michael Erelewine's 768 stars. I have these computerized in the Krishnamurti zodiac in a WordPerfect 6 (old!) document set in columns. The Krishnamurti star positions are 59 minutes greater than Fagan-Allen, so Spica is at 5 minutes of Libra. Every so often I find a missing or misplaced star, but the list is generally accurate. If you can translate this file to another format you can use, I can send it to you. The stars are in zodiacal order. The first star is xi Cepheus at 28 minutes of Aries. The last star is Acamar in The River at 29 Pisces 30. Here is Anne Wright's site with 300 plus tropical stars: http://www.constellationsofwords.com/ Best, Therese
Guest guest
Hi Therese, Thank you for your offer to send me your list of stars. It does seem like it would be complete enough for me work. Having said that, I don't think I would be able to convert the file so that it would be useful to me. In any case, I do appreciate your effort to share with me. Guest guest
Hi Therese, Thanks again. I think I will be ok so please don't bother yourself. Someone wrote that Solar Fire has a good Fixed Star list and I own Solar Fire. Having said that, I don't know how to access the list in Solar Fire but I will figure that out one way or the other. I do appreciate your effort. Thank you. In my version of Solar Fire (5.1) the list has 290 stars in alphabetical order from the old NOVA program. The list can be printed, but as far as I know the stars can't be put in zodiacal order.
