Guest guest
Hi all, the latest study compares eleven different house systems by using statistical methods and 10 quite big sample groups. There's circular diagrams that show which houses are emphasized with different samples (politicians, musicians, actors, etc.). http://koti.welho.com/jmetsovu/index.html Best, Sari
Guest guest
Thanks again, Sari! Your research is very much appreciated. I will take a serious look at Regiomontanus Houses again. But still not testing the Indian equal house system due to software restrictions. I'll have comments a little later. One problem I'm having with my old computer is that when you place all those many diagrams in one file--one long article, my computer runs out of memeory, and the graphs don't all come up on the screen. So the first graphs appear on the screen, and the others are only white boxes with an X in the corner of the box. I could better read your hard work in smaller bites. For example, if each professional group was linked into a separate file. Then I could also print the really interesting graphs for one group. Maybe this is just my problem and no one else's. Guest guest
Hi Don, I must say that after the study I switched back to Regiomontanus. They've worked well earlier, but other house systems have their strong points too, so it's not so easy to choose. Therese, thanks for you feedback; I was aware that Vehlow houses were not included and you probably would have liked to see the results. If I have time I could do a separate study about them with ADB. Hi Sari, I think we should stop calling the Indian Bhava system 'Vehlow,' since Mr. Vehlow is from our contemporary times, and the Indian system has been around for centuries. If ADB is calling this system 'Vehlow,' they are using the wrong term since Vehlow's system is a type of meridian house system. (I have to check this, but I know he didn't invent the Indian bhava system.) Actually, Solar Fire does include the Indian bhava system, and the wheel can be set up that way. The problem is that the boundaries between the houses appear on the cusp lines in the charts, and these are the weakest points in the chart. This causes a visual distortion. So I keep my wheels set for western equal house. Yes, if you have time, it would be nice to see the Indian bhava system tested. Of course that can be easily done by asking for aspects to the house cusps within 15 degrees. This might cause calculation problems, however, so I guess I'd go with a 14 degree orb.
