Maybe use actual timed charts of people with Sun plus planets on a Pisces/Aries ascendant. When looking for sign influence I don't think it's very helpful to simply take one planet in a sign that can be anywhere in the horoscope wheel. But staying in the area of the ascendant might help to isolate influences. The ascendant is supposed to be the person. How **DO** we tell if one area of the ecliptic is more like one kind of planetary symbolism?? ....in this case Mars/exalted Sun or Jupiter/Neptune/exalted Venus. I note that most tropical books talk a lot about signs, but very often don't say much about planetary rulers. On the other hand, the sidereal view is that the planets are the keys to sign meanings. I'd add that in the case of western countries Greek/Roman myths help to understand the sidereal signs. Therese
