Eclipses in event timing and prediction

Good day to all!

 

I am curious if and how eclipses are used in Jyotish astrology.

Some western astrologers believe that eclipses are great clues for predicting

events and their timing, such as death, accident, etc.

 

I read a book by Celeste Teal where she asserts that no death occur without

being triggered by an eclipse. There is also the notion of " prenatal " eclipses

which also play important role regarding death and karmic connections.

 

In my own practice (western tropical), I have seen eclipses to be very telling

as well, though I have only been focusing on very tight conjunction (within 3

degrees) of the solar eclipse and the natal or solar return planets.

 

Would be much interested in hearing from your experience in this area.

Eclipses would operate the same no matter what zodiac they're in. An

eclipse is an eclipse, though sign symbolism might play a role.
