Felicia's last year's Solar Return + Free will

Hi Sari,

As it turns out, my solar return for this year does not look a lot better than

last year. I'm particularly concerned about the grand cross between the Sun/MC,

the Moon, Scorpio and Mars. My big question is... is it possible to put a

positve spin on this and still be productive instead of letting it beat me in

the head?

With MC in Pisces, my interpretation is that the outcome of the year could

make me feel sad, disappointed, weakened, or I could become more spiritual and

more expansive. So, I'm thinking...if I focus on becoming more spiritual and

expansive, I could turn it into a good year instead of another bad year.

The underlying question here is how much free will do we have in these

matters? With MC receiving all negative aspects, it certainly looks difficult,

but do I have a better alternative?

Sorry for troubling you with my personal concern, but I'm hoping that this

question might be of interest to you are likely to have encountered the same

type of question at some points in your life (destiny vs free wil) and might

have some interesting insight to share.

Regards,

Felicia

This Solar return looks really heavy indeed. A t-square made by the Moon,

Saturn and Mars hitting the (birth place) Asc/DC axis. This is a Solar

return you would not like to look at beforehand, fortunately the year is

over. Felicia, you will have your birthday tomorrow in Friday! Many happy

returns!

Felicia...

Happy Birthday a day late!

I looked at your solar return and don't think that it looks bad. There's a

very strong Neptune influence. Your natal Neptune falls on an sr angle and

your sr Neptune falls on a natal angle. Venus is also emphasised as your

natal Venus falls at the very top of the sr chart. I'm not at all good at

reading srs; some years that Iooked terrible to me turned out to be OK and

sometimes the reverse was true. All you can do is see how the year

progresses. 20/20 hindsight and all that. Anyhow, the year should be

Neptunian! We'll have to see what that means.

Oh, and one more thing, Felicity...in Vedic astr. Sun Moon oppositions are

considered very auspicious... because the Moon is full and a full Moon is

considered to be the best Moon.

Hi Bettina,

I think you mean Venus is at the nadir?

I forgot to mention that in Saigon time, Felicia's solar return happens on

the morning of the 22nd rather than the 21st. I tell my family that the

reason their birthdays are often stressful is the calendar date when they

were born is often the very last day of their old solar return year, and

it's clean-up time.

It's always good when the part of fortune is on an angle, and in Felicia's

return for this year, the part of fortune is on the 7th cusp.

Yea, Therese, sorry. The very BOTTOM of the sr chart. Bet interesting to

see how that Neptune works, esp since Felicia is a Neptunian to start with.

Hello Bettina,

Thank you for the birthday wish and for giving me some positive outlook on my

new solar return.

Can you tell me which house system you use, because I just can't seem to set

up the chart with Venus at the top of the chart as you said. I would like to set

it up so I can see the chart as you see it. That way I can understand your

points better.

Best regards,

Felicia

I use Hindu equal house. The asc degree is that center of the first house,

and every house has that same degree of subsequent signs as its center.

IOW, if 15 degrees Gemini is on the asc, then the 1st house goes from 0 - 30

degrees Gemini, 2nd house from 0 - 30 degrees Leo, and so on and so forth.
