Sari: You're probably right. I actually made a study about people with planets in their sidereal detriments (62 charts out of 10339 that had four or five planets in detriment) and there was a lot of lawyers, scientists, policicians and soldiers - people who have had to struggle, who like challenges. There was quite many inventors, people who had discovered something completely new. So the common theme was daring to go onto unknown terrority, to walk unbeaten paths, going bravely where no one has previously gone. Esoterically speaking, if you want a challenging life and want to do something unusual and daring, it's better to choose a chart with many detrimented planets. Planets in detriment are in the 7th house from their own domiciles, they're as far from the home as they can be. That symbolism was visible in the charts with detrimented planets. There was a telling quote from Auguste Renoir (Mars, the Sun, Venus and Mercury in detriment): " ...I am still suffering from experimenting. I'm not content and I am scraping off, still scraping off. I hope this craze will end. I am like a child in school. The white page must always be neatly written and bang! - a blot. I am still at the age of blots - and I'm forty. " But those detrimented planets don't make anyone a depraved person or anything like that. It may be different with planets in fall. I studied 10 charts with four planets in fall, but it was too small a sample to make any conclusions. There was two " nasty " persons out of these 10 charts (Pablo Picasso and a Finnish serial murderer who dated older homosexual men and poisoned them).
