Guest guest
Thanks for the message Therese. Sorry for the confusion. Here is the proper link http://journalofastrology.com/ARTICLES/hillary_clinton_7.htm I actually was led to that site through this one where you can see the chart too. http://www.lightonVedic Astrology.com/dailyjyotish-050406.htm Speaking of Rao himself he doesn't seem to have a very nice amiable image. I am amazed that you have met him at conference. You sure have a lot of experience and are a great resource, having seen astrology from many perspectives. My learning, unfortunately, has mostly come from net resources so far, due to a variety of personal reasons. And there aren't many good sites to learn from unlike tropical astro. I too have heard he has a unique take on things. As for Hillary I too have some hesitation accepting her as Gemini ascendant which comes with 8 pm chart. But I shouldn't meddle in things about which I have no clue. Testing her dashas and stuff is beyond me. I sure am interested in knowing how you arrived at her time going by her personality traits if that is the process that was used to reach that conclusion. Thanks Shiv , Therese Hamilton <eastwest wrote: > > At 11:59 PM 3/19/08 -0000, Shiv wrote: > > >K.N. I went to the site but Rao wasn't the author of the article. However, I'm firmly convinced of Hillary's morning time after testing past events. I have met K.N. Rao at the California conference in the early 90s. He would hold court in the evening after class sessions, and at the time he was living mostly on coffee and chocolate! I have many of his books. He is to be commended for emphasizing reserch, but he's not always right. Still, his approach is far better than those who simply repeat ancient slokas that no longer have meaning for modern life and have never really been tested. Rao ran into some kind of legal trouble in the U.S. which is one reason he stopped coming to America. It's long ago (for my memory) and I don't remember the details. Ah, there are perks that go with age--lots and lots of years to study, learn and experiment! I really wonder about the 20 somethings who are writing astrology books. >Testing [Hillary's] dashas and stuff is beyond me. I would never try to rectify a chart via personality traits, even with my psychology degrees. Personality is too nebulous and changeable. I used solar returns for important years in Hillary's life, and also the natal chart itself. For example 7th lord Mars is in the 10th house, and Hillary's husband was president for 8 years. Also Mercury on the ascendant can be highly intelligent, and Hillary is that. Lots of strong yogas in the a.m. chart, but I still worry about McCain's solar return and other cyclic charts. Why would a 70 year old want to be president???? Therese
