Hi Therese

Astrology is my passion, yet i cant seem to get ahead. It takes me a long

time to grasp things. It is true that i " see " a lot more than i can read in a

chart

Im sure there are points in the chart that tell if a person is apt to become

an astrologer.

if you have any suggestions please let me know.

if wondered if perhaps certain personal conduct is required, i think about

this because i am a bartender, and perhaps this is not considered " right

livelyhood " for an astrologer...

..am i thinking too much??? LOL.

Kit, do you mean you have an intuitive feeling that K is correct, but you

haven't really used that ayanamsa? But you use the Fagan ayanamsa?

>>I also placed the other planets and applied the major dasa and bhutki

progressions which i know is incorrect.

I'm not sure what you mean by that sentence. Can you explain?

thanks,

Therese

HI Jollie,

The best advice ever given to astrology students :: Aleister Crowley in

the only book he ever wrote on the subject tells us to study astrology

so completely as we can and then put all that aside and simply pick up

charts with no thought of rules, letting the eyes tell the tongue.

All trades are grist for the astrologers mill, with the Neptune around

bar keeping a plus factor. There have even been butchers in India

recognized and praised by all for their saintliness.

There are certain Hindu rules for ascertaining in the chart if one has

the ability to read " for the multitudes. " It is the tropical and Hindu

readers that meet them. The western siderealists less so. That's why

they do theory. Maybe we all should have a look?

Yes you are................

thinking too much.

Hi Jollie,

I had written a reply to your post, but my computer froze, and the post was

lost. So I'll try to remember what I wrote.

In my opinion we're all students. Astrology is so vast, and there is so

much we don't know. Each chart is a new horizon. Even now after so many

years working with astrology, some charts are just a blank to me. A great

deal of astrology is still hidden from us. We don't know the secrets.

I've seen enough evidence to know that each very small segment of the

ascendant degree carries its own karmic record. And then each single degree

has a larger scale record. Remember how your life pattern correlated with

my daughter's life? You both have the same degree of Scorpio rising.

Only a self-realized Master can truly read a birth chart. The rest of us

combine some past information we've learned with a little intuition and

guess work. It doesn't matter how you make your living, but it's really

impossible to reach a deep level of true intuition without a lot of

meditation. And the meditation has to be 'scientific,' that is, it has to

*really* take you within instead of only hoping you'll get more intuitive.

They say in India that the astrolgoical nadis (astrological intuition) in

the psyche generally don't open until one reaches old age. But any time

sitting in silence and calming the mind is helpful to some extent.

So don't give up! Just continue to study the horoscopes of people in your

life, and also any charts that come your way with good biographies. There's

no sense in guessing on unknown birth charts. We can just as easily be

wrong as right.

It's true that being a bartender doesn't help because you're in an

atmosphere of alcohol 'spirits,' and people who like to drink. Intuition

develops best out in the country, in the mountains, or most of all by the

sea with its psychic vibrations, away from city distractions. Life happens

the way it's supposed to. Just keep on studying and learning! Astrology

isn't supposed to be combined with money, so it's good to earn money

another way.

Blessings,

Therese

Hi Jollie,

Well, let's hope it makes us stronger! I don't know about my daughter as

she hardly ever communicates with me, and when she does she only tells me

the good news. I know she has a job now that pays well (elder care), but

that's all I know. Nice working enviornment--a ranch.

Blessings,

Therese
