Fagan-Bradley Sidereal Example -- Paris Hilton part TWO

Following her snubbing of the law which prohibited her from driving

after a late 2006 incident, Paris Hilton was arrested in February for

driving when she was forbidden to do so. She was sentenced on May 4th

of this year to 45 days in jail. In the Celebrity folder, a chart for

that date is available. The following comments will relate to that

chart. But, first, a brief review of Solar Returns and progressed

daily angle charts.

 

Each successive Solar Return shows the Sun as having moved about three

houses clockwise. This is due to the Sun having moved 360 degrees

during the year while the MC progresses about 450 degrees (or 5/4's of

a circle). If we were to look at a half-year's Solar Return chart, we

would expect to see the Sun at its opposite sign and degree position,

but the MC would have moved more than half-way around the circle.

Actually, the MC reaches its opposite point after 4 months and 3

weeks, while the MC returns to its S/R position after 9 months and 2

weeks, and then reaches its next position (450 degrees from it prior

S/R position) when the Sun completes its annual return.

 

We can construct " in-between " charts for any date between sucessive

Solar Returns merely by proportioning the Sun and angles. We won't

cover that process here but the chart will show this.

 

MAY 4TH, 2007

 

This chart has an MC of 22 Aries, an Asc angle of 2 Leo. Transiting

Sun and Mercury are in the 10th house zone, natal Pluto is on the IC.

The progressing Ascedant is approaching the natal N. Node, transiting

Saturn is on natal Moon in the first house.

 

** Natal Pluto at the IC; change that can't be resisted or argued

with, one's status and personal values are altered -- period.

** Sun-Mercury in the 10th; One's identity is on view, all that one

says and thinks has to be defended and explained.

** Natal Node at the Asc; charm and the management of associations is

the basis of how one reacts to the world. With Paris focusing on

being a public figure, this symbol takes on a photo-shoot approach to

projecting herself and defining her actions.

** Saturn transits the natal Moon in the first house; Self control is

called for, one has to put the right " spin " on the situation.

 

All of these statements exhibited themselves in the press over this

last month. Paris was going to be a role model -- really?

 

As we review these statements it is my feeling that we are not so much

" predicting " events (as if we were doing this before the fact) but are

really defining events and how we experience them.

 

The focus on " angularity " focuses this methodology on events, actions

and responses. This approach is also quick and effective when dealing

with clients who want to know " what " and " when. " In many cases, the

Solar Return provides an easy-to-see time scale of what may happen

when -- just by seeing what natal planets and what outer planets will

likely be angular when the MC angle reaches its opposite progressed

position and returns to its annual position. The first point is often

a time of " challenge " to the querent, the return point is a time of
