The planets will always over-rule the signs. There are also small degree areas that relate to appearance such as a particular kind or color of eye. I would judge Moon on Asc-EP with the trine of Jupiter (sugar) and the square of Venus (indulgence) quickened by Uranus should go FAT because of Rahu to the 6th cusp placidian. It would be interesting to do a study of extremely morbidly obese people. In the book called The Astrology of Death, by Rick Houck, there is a chart of a man who weighed in the neighborhood of 900 lbs. He had Venus cnj Rahu on Sid. Pisces Asc (Venus' exaltation, no less). Rahu tends toward much-ness, exaggeration, out-of-control whatever. Almost like an out of whack Jupiter. I think Pluto was square these two, if memory serves (have to look it up). Sun in Pisces and I have always wondered what in the chart would indicate obesity--maybe the same things that indicate addictive behaviors or self indulgence in general? I was born March 5, 1958, in Vivian, Louisiana, at 11:45 am. I was skinny and ran around a whole lot until my health fell apart around age 30-32. It has been bad ever since. (for some unfortunate reason, Houck used the tropical zodiac for the circle charts and the south Indian chart for the sidereal zodiac so that may be part of the confusion.) Neptune also squares it. Actually Venus tightly squares the Pluto Neptune midpoint. His data: 29 March 1896 5.30 am MST Florence., AZ. He died 27 May 1926. Thanks Patrice for your example. I get 28 degrees of Sidereal Taurus rising, which would give you approx. 21 Gemini in the Tropical. Venus rules the asc (body) and 6th (health issues) and it's squared by Jupiter in the 6th and ruling the 8th (a problematic house). Jupiter can have to do with excess, as can Rahu, which it's conjunct. Also, Neptune is there (cnj Jupiter and Rahu, square Venus), which makes me think there may be a problem with fluid retention. The other thing I notice is the conjunction of Moon and Pluto. I've seen that in the horoscopes of some people who are anorexic, which is interesting, so maybe it just has to do with eating disorders in general. I've never fully understood how Moon/Pluto cnjs work. How would you describe yourself emotionally, or personality-wise? I don't beat myself up with the emotional stuff like I did when I was younger. I was anorexic as a teen but eventually outgrew it. Excess and impulsivity used to mark my whole life but I am lightening up as I get older. Mostly I think of food as fuel or an artistic outlet (we are foodies here in Louisiana) and the emotional eating is not as big a deal as when I was younger. The water retention may be because I have some heart disease. My sixth house must be a doozy because my health has always been a problem with lots of chronic stuff. My medical file is about 3 inches thick and I just got a stent a little over a year ago. Still it could be worse; my daughter has this huge stellium of planets in her 6th house in Capricorn--moon, mars, neptune, uranus, saturn in the western chart. That could possibly suggest depression, but that, like everything else, can be dealt with. Everything else stays the same, except the asc. is one degree later than the one I ran off for the 5th of March. Your asc is 29 degrees of Taurus.
