My daughter was especially good at phlebotomy when she was in school. She was also going to study to be a nurse, but the program started at the wrong time and then she changed her mind. This must be the influence of the Ophiuchus star on the ascentant--the medical part. It's encouraging to see the stars working. It may be that the individual stars don't really have all the meanings attatched to them in books, but it's important what constellation they belong to. Ophiuchus is associated with medical matters. It's good that you are happy with your life now. 'Freedom' seems to be a key word. At this time my duagher also feels she is 'free,' but seeing her life now (different from yours) she's in a difficult place with no direction. Then I wonder if there are cycles attatched to the ascendant. It would be interesting to check the years when your life changed, when you were in school, and so forth. This would be an interesting astrolgoical study. Don't apologize for writing about your life. We're all learning a lot about similar ascendant degrees. You've written notes in several posts about your life. I'm wondering if you can put them all together and send them in an e-mail to me? Then I'll compare what you said to my daughter's life. eastwest If this is too difficult, I'll try to go back and find the original posts. Guest guest
Hi Therese Ok, im going out there for the sake of Astrology. January 9th, 2002 was the begining of my new life. I ended a lifetime of drug addiction on that day, i changed my life completely, and as a result my intuition kicked in. I was anesthized on drugs since the age of 14. When I gave up drugs, I woke up to the gifts i was born with. I became an athelete, and I recovered myself. The transformation I have made is amazing. I actually look completely different, the people I know today have no idea about my past and they would never believe it. I sicerely asked the Universe for assistance; and The Angels came and helped me find my own strength. I wont lie to you, addiction is a lifetime struggle. I understand that I must overcome it during this life time because if I dont, it will surely follow me into the next existance. I am not advanced enough in Astrology to know what was going on in the sky for me on January 9th 2002....Therese, I have another date for you if you are interested in checking, September 11th 1997. It would be very interesting to know if these dates were significant for your daughter also. Thank You Sincerely, jollie therese hamilton <eastwest wrote: At 06:09 AM 10/24/06 -0700, Jollie wrote: >Hi Therese, > Just one more thing...i dont want to go on, and on about this, but there are just too many similarities with our Ascendant. > I went to school to become a nurse and dropped out, and before that to become a phlebotomist and dropped out. > Today, I have become fortunate and can lead a life that allows me freedom to do sports and study Astrology...after a lifetime of pain and struggle. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jollie, that is so interesting!! Guest guest
Hi Jollie, It's very kind of you to offer this information about yourself. And it's so important that you realize that what you defeat this time around won't follow you into the future. I'd say that my daughter has an addictive personality, but the addiction is to food rather than drugs. Also she very easily comes under the power of other people so she totally loses her individuality. Then she goes back to being 'fiery' and bossy. You both have Neptune above the ascendant. That might have something to do with different types of addiction. You know, in the older astrology Venus had to do with addictions, and you have Venus at the top of your chart. My daughter has Venus opposing her ascendant lord, Mars. I wonder if the older astrology is correct....? Rather than causing addiction, Neptune may have given the spiritual impetus to overcome so many years of addiction. My daughter also has faith in 'being saved' by the angels. I'll look up those two dates as soon as I have time. This gets more and more interesting!
