Guest guest
Hi Chris, I saw from your Thailand piece in your blog (congratulations for the prediction), that you use True Node. I've been also using true node, but I'm still not completely sure. Could you please tell how you ended up using true node? Do you have any convincing examples? I use true node mainly because it seems to work in transits more accurately than mean node, but there's also evidence to the contrary, the 11th September 2001 comes first to mind. So, I'm not completely settled. Regards, Sari
Guest guest
Hi Sari, Thanks. On the nodes, I'm maybe not the best person to ask. I am also not completely decided on it. I use the true node at the moment, but next year, who knows? There may be some grey areas here, like : it may be better to use the true nodes for transits but use the mean nodes for varga placements. I recall I was strongly pushed towards the true nodes a few years back when my mother had the flu. She was quite sick at the time. Her worst days occurred as true Rahu applied to my natal Moon. As soon as it started to separate (within minutes or arc), her condition improved. The mean node was still one degree away. Not scientific but a powerful example. Probably the most important area is when the nodes straddle signs with the true in one and the mean in the other. I haven't taken a good look at those cases. Sari: I see. Thanks for an answer, I'm probably in the same situation with the nodes than you. Probably have to just keep on studying. If someone else has some good examples, I would be happy to know. Transiting true nodes have worked generally quite convincingly in my own chart and in a few charts of persons I know, though I cannot give any specific examples right now.
