These comments are my opinions and are open to discussion. TAROT involves more intuitive processes early in the reading process than does ASTROLOGY -- where intuition can be applied/used in the chart deliniation process following the initial layout and mechanics of chart review for significant patterns, etc. Also, the TAROT seems more dependant on the Reader's frame of mind in terms of focus, posing a question, choosing an appropriate spread and then reading the cards. ASTROLOGY seems more of a mechanical process in the early stages, you can always get a basic reading and find the focal points in time when specific natal and transiting conditions are more likely to be evident. TAROT seems to me to be more spontaneous and capable of dealing more simply (in terms of numbers of cards and thier usage) with questions that involve amgiguities and feelings. ASTROLOGY appears to be far more complex in its processes and ability to deal with questions from many aspects and to define series of events and timing. Plus, its very nature can allow it to be helpful just following the mechanics. TAROT is easier to learn and faster for a reader to reach a reasonable (but not expert) level of use. It is also, for many, a process which is dependant upon the skill level, knowledge, mental balance and frame of mind of the reader -- in other words, some find it works or works less well at times. ASTROLOGY is more difficult to learn, takes longer to learn, but seems (for me) to be mostly evenly capable of providing answers and is not so " fluctuating " in the giving of information. Hope these views help. Dave
