As you know, they go as follows (this list is from " Elements of Vedic

Astrology " by KS Charak):

The natural significator of the 1. house = the Sun

2. house = Jupiter

3. house = Mars

4. house = the Moon, Mercury

5. house = Jupiter

6. house = Mars, Saturn

7. house = Venus

8. house = Saturn

9. house = the Sun, Jupiter

10. house = the Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn

11. house = Jupiter

12. house = Saturn

I found a funny pattern the other day. If you put Scorpio as the first sign,

you get:

1. house - Scorpio. Here's no correlation with the natural significator.

2. house = Sagittarius. Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius.

3. house = Capricorn. Mars is the exaltation ruler of Capricorn

4. house = Aquarius. Here's no correlation.

5. house = Pisces. Jupiter is the ruler of Pisces.

6. house = Aries. Mars is the ruler of Aries.

7. house = Taurus. Venus is the ruler of Taurus.

8. house = Gemini. Here's no correlation. Remotely it could be said that

many consider Rahu to be exalted in Gemini and then we could say according

to the old doctrine that Rahu is like Saturn.

9. house = Cancer. Jupiter is the exaltation ruler of Cancer.

10. house = Leo. The Sun is the ruler of Leo.

11. house = Virgo. Here's no correlation.

12. house = Libra. Saturn is the exaltation ruler of Libra.

Hi Sari,

Interesting pattern, yes, but I'm not sure I have faith in the

traditional house significators! I'm not sure they mean anything.

Maybe. For example, since Mars rules brothers, it makes sense that

Mars is connected to the 3rd. I suppose the association of Mercury

with the 4th has to do with the 4th being fixed assets, including

vehicles. Anyhow, I still question the tradition of house

significtors.
