Guest guest
Thanks, Gary, for the reminder of where to find Fagan's words on the two zodiacs. Fagan points out at the beginning of ASTROLGICAL ORIGINS that the proponents of both zodiacs can use foolish reasons for sign traits. Here's one example of a recent discussion from the ADB list-- as best I remember it. A woman pointed out that tropical Sagittarius had a 'rapier tongue.' I was surprised at the term and suggested that 'rapier' was certainly a Mars word and could be applied to the Mars rulership of sidereal Scorpio. The lady then replied that 'rapier' suited tropical Sagittarius because the Archer was shooting an arrow. Fagan suggested that a sidereal astrologer might point to the legend of the Golden Fleece to support traits of sidereal Aries, an equally invalid argument in his opinion.
