Guest guest
Clearly, the President doesn't have an astrologer. Harriet Miers was born on August 10, 1945, in Dallas. She was nominated on October 3, 2005, so that date would naturally begin about a six-week window of intense scrutiny, followed by a couple months of pre-hearings and actual hearings. Harriet Miers, birth positions at noon CDT: Sun: 23:42 Cancer Pluto: 16:08 Pluto (RA-wise, it culminates with 17:52 ecliptic-Cancer) Transits from 10/3/05-11/15/05: Neptune: stationary between 20:08 to 20:00 Capricorn Saturn: 14:20 to 16:47 Cancer Mars: 28:31 to 17:18 Aries, retrograde Mars when nomination withdrawn: 23:49 Aries Note that Saturn was approaching stationary, Mars was going to re- transit the whole area (after its direct station) until late January, and Neptune was moving toward 24 Capricorn (exact in March). Would any astrologer advise undergoing extreme national scrutiny with those classic, no-frills transits?
Guest guest
> Sun: 23:42 Cancer > Pluto: 16:08 Pluto (RA-wise, it culminates with 17:52 ecliptic-Cancer) whoops -- make that Pluto: 16:08 Cancer. Note also that her secondary progressed chart shows a progressed Sun- Mars square forming, in near-exact square/conunction to natal Saturn. SP Sun: 23 Virgo SP Mars: 24 Gemini natal Saturn: 25 Gemini. The timing of that depends on birth time, but was definitely coming into effect around now (and exact sometime in the next year or so). But absent the transits, that difficult progression wouldn't have been fatal to the confirmation process. Now, in context, it suggests a rather unpleasant couple of years following the public humiliation of the sprawling Mars-Saturn-Neptune t-square hard transit to the wide natal Sun-Pluto conjunction.
