Guest guest
For those following this exercise: I have used the April 6, 1789 @ 11:00 am First Quorum chart as the basis for this exploration. I have relocated the NYC chart to the Washington DC location since most of the Senate's life and activities have occured there. This yields a chart for the above date with an MC of 26-55 Pisces, an ASC of 15-27 Cancer -- TROPICAL. Again, I am using tropical natal/basis charts and precession-corrected Solar Returns for the book I am developing. This will allow me to better communicate with the large number of Tropicalists to show them how these " sidereal " methods are used. The precession corrected Solar Return for 2005 finds the original quorum Sun (17-15-31 Aries/Tropical) now at 20-16-05 Aries/Tropical. The April 9, 2005 SR has a ST of 9-11-ll with an MC of 15-20 Leo and an ASC of 8-19 Scorpio. The chart time is for 9-05-52 pm. The precession corrected Solar Return for 2006 has a ST of 15-18-08 which yields an MC 21-57 Scorpio and an ASC of 0-09 Aquarius. The S/R occurs on April 10, 2006 at 3-12-46 am. The PSSR chart is based on an interval of 46 days from the 2005 SR which yields an adjusted interval (hand calculations) of 3h 44m 34s. The following data is presented: ** MC 15 Libra ** ASC 23 Sag The closely angular planets (Quorum chart and Transiting) are: ** PLUTO/t @ 23 Sag, conj. ASC. A seperative action which changes an existing situation. ** SUN/q @ 17 Aries conj the IC. Lonewolf or non-authorized approach, self-rehabilitation effort ends or starts an issue. ** NEPTUNE/q @ 22 Libra conj. the MC. Hysteria, confusion over goals or direction. ** N.NODE/t @ 22 Aries conjunct the IC. Seeking out like minded people, pursuit of a common idea. COMMENTS: Both the majority and minority parties were pursuing their own goals while a " moderate " bi-partisan group of 14 Senators thwarted the work of both majority and minority leaders. The four elements noted (Sun, Neptune, Pluto, N.Node) at the angles symbolize the key elements of this situation. There was uncertainty in the leadership over tactics and outcome, as well as a lack of appreciation of what the public's interests (Neptune and N.Node along the PSSRs MC-IC axis) were and how they could be served. There was a core of strong character and purpose to start/end this situation -- " start " in the sense that a solution had to be crafted, " end " in the sense of stopping the confrontation, polarization and confusion (Sun, Pluto, Neptune) that existed. The strong Pluto/t at the ASC angle shows the power plays that were being conducted. Pluto in the original Quorum Chart was in the 8th house area, trining Neptune (4th) and sextiling Sun (10th). This Sun-Pluto aspect often shows the ability to command attention for one's actions and views -- historically true for the US Senate. Complex issues often are confronted and need to be promoted to others. The Neptune-Pluto aspect shows both adaptation and the willingness to wield power on behalf of others. So, the issue was that of who would speak for the people, who would have power, who would grab -- and who would lose -- power. A long-term shift in the wielding of power is in the works. The 2005 precession corrected S/R points to this overall struggle. Mars/t and Neptune/t closely conjunct the IC angle, Moon/t is right near the DSC angle. The Quorum Chart Pluto is only 3 degrees from the SR IC angle as well. Neptune and Pluto are active here as they were in the Challenge PSSR chart, and joined by Mars. There seems to be more infighting in store. I'd keep an eye on the dates near 4 months and three weeks from the S/R -- around the start of September (when the PSSR angles reverse themselves) and nine months and two weeks later -- around late January of 2006. This period will see a lot of jockying of issues and agendas to suite the upcoming elections during the following November. Possibly this or some similar theme to grab power and enliven the majority parties position to enact a program that will serve them will arise. It looks like this first test of the Quorum Chart relative to showing Senate actions and possibly filibusters is appropriate. It will now need to be tested against other dates. Anyones comments are welcome -- about my use of PSSRs or my interpretations, etc. Dave
