Update and World Forecast February 2005

 

General

 

There are two eclipses this month. The April 8th solar eclipse occurs at

25 Pisces. This chart features an exalted Venus and a very close square

between Saturn and the Sun/Moon. Venus-type persons may be in the news at

this time, including artists, women or just wealthy people. The Saturn

square suggests a degree of sadness and withdrawal so some kind

significant loss in the world

 

The lunar eclipse occurs on April 24th at about 10 Libra. This point is

significant because it is the point of greatest debilitation for the Sun.

This is not a favourable chart for leaders of any kind, political or

otherwise. Another interesting element of the chart is the 3-way

contraparallel involving the Moon, Venus, and Mars suggesting issues

concerning love and sexuality may be highlighted at this time.

 

Mercury goes direct April 12th at 8 Pisces. This will be another factor

that will highlight natives with prominent Pisces. Natives with strong

Gemini or Virgo charts may also find their actions and initiatives more

likely to get off the ground.

 

 

 

USA

 

No major destructive event occurred in March which means the accumulated

planetary energy is still extant. Given that the previous prediction was

based upon slow moving planets, it is still very possible that the event

is still to come, especially in light of the fact that two eclipses are

upcoming in April. I believe the solar eclipse to resonate more strongly

with the USA charts. In the July 4, 1776 chart, Saturn 24 Virgo will be

opposed by the solar eclipse point at 25 Pisces. Activating this Saturn

will interrupt the flow of Saturn's limiting influence and perhaps cause

ruptures or diseases in living things or explosions of solid walls and

surfaces in non-living things. A less grim view of the eclipse might see

some kind of civil disorder break out since Saturn rules orderliness.

Hopefully the exact nature of the eclipse-related event will give us a

clue as the the most useful USA chart, at least those that are cast for

July 4th.

 

 

Iraq Look for a significant violent incident around April 3rd when Mars

squares the nodes. April 10th also looks destined for destruction of

some kind, possibly involving chemicals.

 

 

Canada As I mentioned in my blog two weeks ago,

(modernVedic Astrology.blogspot.com -- see link on my homepage), this

political situation in Canada is destabilizing. As the Gomery commission

continues its investigation of the previous Liberal government

wrongdoings, the Liberals under Paul Martin are becoming more and more

vulnerable if an election is called. Until they tabled their budget, this

wasn't likely. However, since including some controversial Kyoto protocol

measures in the budget, they have raised the ire of all parties in the

Commons. For now, a compromise solution has been struck so that a vote of

non-confidence will not be taken. Still it's clear the Liberals under

Martin are in trouble politically, so it's only a question of when Stephen

Harper and his Conservatives feel ready enough to prompt an election that

the government will be forced to call an election. The key dates here

appear to be April 13th and May 8th. the first date may be another

revelation in the Gomery inquiry or perhaps a new threat by the

Conservatives to vote against the budget bill. The latter date would then

perhaps be the non-confidence vote itself.

 

It is noteworthy also that the April 8th solar eclipse occurs exactly on

Canada's ascendant for the midnight chart. This is yet another sign that

change is in the wind.

 

UK Look for the time around the April 8th eclipse to produce some

volatility, or violence. Transiting Mars squares its natal position in

the 8th house -- usually an difficult combination that speaks to scandal

at best, or significant loss of life at worst. Presumably this does not

represent the country's reaction to Charles and Camilla's marriage.

 

India The Mercury direct station on April 12th makes a very close squre

to natal 2nd house Mars. This may signal a violent incident that harms

the population in some way. Significantly, at the same time, Mars opposes

the Saturn-Pluto-Venus stellium at 20-22 Cancer. Also transit Saturn

would be semisextile the natal Sun within one degree. This could be a

very difficult time indeed and represent a major disaster or loss of life

relating to transportation.

 

 

Russia Watch for the solar eclipse to signal a major event. This is

likely a collective reaction to a major event elsewhere in the world that

causes harm to Russia in some way. At the time of the eclipse, transit

Mars will fall exactly on its descendant while transiting Rahu Sun and

Venus all conjoin the MC.
