Mars/transiting is shown on the chart I presented at 17 Capricorn,

opposing Saturn/Transiting above the Ascendant, and square Jupiter/

transiting in the 4th, and square Neptune/natal in the 10th. You

can put all four together in various ways and emphasize one or the

other:

Mars = violence, hurt, blood, fighting.

Saturn/Asc = harshness, defining acts, somber views.

Jupiter = Legalities, social opportunities, larger views.

Neptune = drugs, confusion, large groups, illusionary situations.

 

Combine that with Canada's ASC at the IC of the progressed chart: a

new and/or revised set of values may be considered, the end of a

nation's assumptions and attitudes,etc.

 

It looks like a reasonable chart for a nation-as-a-whole. I agree

that I would expect stronger Mars-Mercury-Jupiter-Sun placements if

I was doing a local chart or charts for individuals involved. But,

for a national chart, this may be appropriate for the amount of

attention and impact that this event will have.

 

I just ran the chart to see what was offered. I had run charts that

were relocated to the scene, but they were very bland and didn't

seem to fit at all. At least this chart seemed to reflect the

situation in terms of the national attitude. Dave.

PS: Have you found other charts that better reflect this event?

Anny, I did mention the ASC-to-MC arc -- but not the mid-point of

that arc.

 

Indeed, I remember now. The interpretation you are giving

for the midpoint (Ebertin) is interesting too. Now I understand

why it is considered the " Point of the Soul " by astrologers.

I calculated your mode for Co Ascendant for my own chart;

surprised to see it conjouncts my eldest son's Cupido in my VIth

house (Meridian houses)on either side trine Mercury and Pallas

Athena. When I take the difference between Eastpoint - Mc = 90°

=conjunct Vertex (VII), again either side trine Jupiter in II

and trine Sun conj. XI. 2 degrees for me to consider.

Indeed the VIIth house is symbolizing one's opponent, but

it all depends on the ruler how we experience others. Mine is

Mercury (in Capricorn), conjunct Mars (conjunct MC in Sag.).

I was surprised about your fierce warning concerning the

VIIth house qualities upon me for my opponents.

This all gives me an impuls to keep thinking about astrology as

another source of help; the realisation that existing religions

all of them harbor the same sort humans who try to inspire others

social believes by force, to earn the Heaven. Concerning this

problem I watched program on TV " a future for the Islam in Europe. "

French philosophers were asked to tell what is on their mind.

Because I love the French language I kept listening and realized

their rich substance of believes combined with their view on

democracy; it was captivating my attention. Interesting to hear

what in their view should be changed in Eastern countries and

Afrika to get peace in the world. Insights of the KorAn were

eyeopeners. The miracle is to realize the substances of their

believes are complementary with our believes. It brings in us

to the surface what we had almost forgotten.Unspeakable living

inside us. The speakers are born and educated in France and had

the flamboance as we recognize in the French + the light grown

in them as the product of their Eastern religion. It all adds

much to their experiences of democracy. Perhaps they are the

right persons to help us convert those, who spoil the integration

of cultures.

Using the chart for a 12:05 PM birthtime for Canada, relocated to

Mayerthorpe, and doing a precession corrected lunar return, yields a

chart with an East Point (90 degree square in right ascension to the

MC) of 279d 14m with return Mars conjunct at 279d 48m and return Moon

and natal Uranus opposite it at 99d 33m and 99d 25m respectively.

Hi Therese. I knew a lady astrologer who was active and known for her

horary charts. She always put emphasize to watch the dispositors.

 

After I discovered the sidereal zodiac I threw out the tropical zodiac.

Once my family was content with my delineations.
