PS: Have you found other charts that better reflect this event?

Here is one more.

Today I saw in " Fowler's Compendium of Nativities "

Compiled by Jadwiga M.Harrison. Written in 1980.

Dominion of Canada 29 Mar 1867 Noon, In 1967 the Canadian

Confideration was established.

Dave? Did you write one of this weeks about the Midpoint Asc/Mc in one

of your emails?

This week I got a letter from a girlfriend/astrologer, who sees

this as the point of soul. Do you agree? In my program I see another

Point of Soul 4th + Moon - Sun. Sometimes it interesting to study

this Arabian Parts.

REPLY:

Anny, I did mention the ASC-to-MC arc -- but not the mid-point of

that arc.

Ebertin and those who continue to develop his methodologies have

indicated that the mid-point of ASC-MC represents the " here and now "

of one's chart. I haven't investigated that claim.

I use the ASC-to-MC arc in my Solar Return and PSSR charts by

projecting that arc-value from the MC towards the area of the chart

where the Descendant angle is located. The end-point of that arc is

what i call the Co-Descendant. I have found this point to represent

a place of vulnerability and intrusion by others into the subject's

chart. Keep in mind that the regular Descendant angle is where we

tend to project the values and attitudes and expectations we have

for others to fulfill. The Co-Descendant seems to be a " shadow " of

the Ascendant -- it is where others actually express their reaction

to us, not to fulfill our expectations, but to interact with us on

their terms.

So, this can be loosly seen as a Fatefull Intrusion point, a place

where others sneek into our lives and upset our plans, or act on our

behalf without being asked to, etc. Dave.

PS, Thank you for noting the other date for Canada. I'll wait for

Chris to comment on that before running more charts. The nature of

Canada's development, different territories and laws, agreements and

varous government bodies seem to make it difficult to pin down a

good date and time.

Anny,

Thanks for that. Yes, I have looked at the March 29 chart but it's not

good -- at least for the parameters I use.

I would recommend you take a look at the date John just posted (Dec 11

1931). Also you might take a look at the Act of Union of Upper and Lower

Canada on 1 January 1842 at midnight. While I haven't looked at this

chart yet, there are some folks who use it.
