Guest guest
Hi everyone, I've been 'into' Astrology for over 30 years but it's really been the last four or five years that I've begun to approach it in a more disciplined manner and gone through some courses. I started off, like most others, I suspect, using a modern psychological approach but became increasingly interested in the traditional approach, looking at horary techniques and recently reading the works of Arab and Greek Astrologers. I know Dave from another website and his ideas are always intriguing. Indeed it was an issue that we were both contributing to that led me here. Now I have a confession to make. I still use the Tropical Zodiac (hides in corner) but I'm open to new ideas and as I'm beginning to explore writers who didn't necessarily assume a tropical zodiac, I want to learn more about sidereal approaches and techniques. You'll therefore find that I have some learning to do from the threads here and other sources before I get up to speed. Dave
Guest guest
Hi David, Welcome to the sidereal site! If you have time, please check out the articles I wrote especially for Tropical astrologers who are studying sidereal astrology. Parts 1, 2 and 3 of the Lost Zodiac and Aries, Taurus, Gemini. Other signs to be completed soon. I've also become very interested in traditional astrology. If you're not on the youngastro forum, you'll want to join as Project Hindsight's Bill Johnston has been posting there. youngastro/ >Now I have a confession to make. The sidereal.zip file in the files section of this forum has many articles on the western sidereal system. Some good, some out of date in my opinion. Also Jyotish concepts have made their way into this forum as a review of past posts will show. (Clicking on messages, then 'expand messages' will give you a whole page of messages all at once. Don't try to read everything or you'll soon become exhausted. Pick and choose shorter messages that interest you.) Sincerely, Therese
