Guest guest
Dear Ken and List, Well, I found my answer to the question I posed the other day about the previous simultaneous crossing of the ecliptic by Mars and Saturn in June 1902. After 30 seconds on google, I discovered that the capital city of Martinique, St Pierre was destroyed by the volcanic erruption on Mt Pelee on May 8 1902. It killed 30,000 people in 3 minutes. I admit this isn't bang on June when both Mars and Saturn both crossed the ecliptic, but it's extremely close. Perhaps it is a phenomenon as noted by Steve Stuckey and others with some return charts where the event takes place before the return chart should be active, as if it anticipates it somehow. In any event, I take this Mt Pelee explosion is clear proof that ecliptic crossings are powerful yet simple tools in the mundane astrologer's toolkit. Just as the simultaneous crossing of these two first class malefics played a significant role in the earthquake and tsunami on December 26, so did they correlate with the destruction of Mt Pelee.
