That is, at the end of Scorpio or right at 0° Sagittarius? Is there a way to know it? -- Season's Greetings François

Scholars generally give examples of a 'range' of positions for a star. You can see some of these examples here: http://users.snowcrest.net/sunrise/LostZodiac.htm Click on 'The Zodiac in Mesopotamia.' The author of the site you mentioned above has his own pet theories of zero Sagittarius (Moola) the 'root.' This doesn't necessarily mean that 'root' is the root of the zodiac. I have seen Sri Chandra Hari's articles in Raman's Astrological Magazine. He's convinced his theory is correct, but it appears that few astrologers agree with him. Guest guest
Hi! In Medical Astrology, Mirfak of Scorpio is a star of the prostate... (When Mars is in conjunction with this star and/or the Lagna is in conjunction with Venus in another sign, it's dangerous for the prostate, or ovary for women with Graffias star of Scorpio...). With another one Alois Treindl gave me on news:alt.astrology.moderated, <http://www.astro.com/swisseph/swisseph.htm#_Toc6813679>, which I already saved on disk, I know now I am loosing my time on this issue and I sure will stop to search for any " precise " beginning to the sidereal zodiac and begin to rely on experienced astrologers (Steven's and yours, for instance). -- With my best regards, François -- Version: 7.0.298 / Virus Database: 265.6.5 - Release 04-12-

Unfortunately history can't give us a precise answer. Every side (opinion, ayanamsa, etc.) has a good story! We'll need lots of data before we can move toward a conclusion. Your own experience and insight will be just as important as everyone else's. Therese
