Hi Steiner, Welcome to the sidereal astrology list! I hope you can learn something about astrology here. There are only two books on **sidereal** solar and lunar returns that I know of, and both are out of print. The best one (in my opinion) is INTERPRETING SOLAR RETURNS by James A. Eshelman. However, all return charts are rather ticky and are open to misinterpretation. The best 'book' is your own chart for important years plus the return charts of people you know well. The main controversy about returns is whether to use the sidereal or Tropical returns. Some experienced Tropical astrologers now correct their return charts for precession, making them essentially sidereal returns. No sidereal astrologer seriously considers Tropical returns. In my opinion the best book on Vedic astrology (Jyotish) is Hart deFouw and Robert Svoboda's LIGHT ON LIFE. The first edition has gone out of print, but might be available on the internet. There was a reprint in 2003 by Lotus Press. This was a much more reabable edition without the flimsy paper of the first. The cost is $19.95. (I don't recommend the first Arkana edition as the pages have become yellowed and there is print bleedthrough.) No matter how many other books on Jyotish you buy, this one is a *must buy.* You don't have to read it straight through, but it's a great reference when you want to check out a topic. Also the introductory pages help set Jyotish in focus for the western student--a good foundation for study. http://www.lotuspress.com/ Sincerely, Therese

Guest guest
I use Abebooks http://www.abebooks.com , it is a portal used book portal that let you search through a substantial number of used book stores. You place you order with Abebooks and then Abebooks forward the order to the relevandt bookstore. I've bought 14 books through them the last 6 months and never had any problems. It usually takes 6-7 calendar days from I place the order till I receive the book in my mailbox.
