Guest guest
Hi everyone, In retrospect and in light of conflicting birth times from various sources, I think that the hour we have for Kerry's birth data is very 'iffy,' so it perhaps doesn't make much sense to talk about his chart. Unfortunately many astrologers used the time that for whatever reason came to the fore, and saw victory for Kerry. I suspect that the Mars-Ketu (S.node) conjunction was more prominent in return charts than Jupiter-Venus, but we may never know. John Edwards' chart, however, has a more reliable time frame, as posted on the ADB site and from information provided by Sri Siri Khalsa from New Mexico. We still don't have a written birth record for Edwards, however. Birth Data Birth Name: Edwards, John Birth 06/10/1953 (June 10, 1953) Birth Time: 07:02 (07:02 AM) EST(+5:00) Birth Place: Seneca, SC Latitude / Longitude: 34 N 41 / 82 W 57 Rodden Rating / Source: A / From memory Source Notes: An anonymous source who obtained the time from an anonymous Edwards staffer. In addition Leslie Astar Walker wrote to PT via e-mail dated 1/30/2004: " I just met his mother tonight and she said (in no uncertain terms) that it's 7:02 AM. " Now, looking at Edwards' election lunar: http://users.snowcrest.net/sunrise/aedwards-oct04-lr.jpg Instead of his partner being called as winner in the election, Edwards' discovers that his wife has breast cancer! Let's see: Supposing Edwards' birth time is reasonably accurate. Venus and Jupiter straddle the MC...but the Uranus quincunx (150 degree aspect of Mars) to the MC is only minutes from being exact, and within a drgree of aspecting Venus. The Uranus aspect is a little further from Jupiter but still within orb. An election won, but electronically scrambled (Uranus) by optical scan equipment in 39 states, but especially in Florida? Also, experimenting with house lords, Venus is the 7th lord here--the competition elevated to the MC and conjunct Jupiter? And Mars--the lord of first--it's in the middle ground with its dispositor in the 12th house. Then we have transiting Mars in the degree of natal Neptune, with Neptune ruled Pisces being Edwards' 10th house sign. Siderealists, should we be paying a little more attention to house lords as Jyotish does? How about Elisabeth's breast cancer? Venus is the 7th lord in this lunar return, but even ignoring house lords, Venus still relates to women (wife or otherwise) in astrology. Venus at the MC receives the close quincunx of Uranus. And using sidereal concepts, Uranus squares a foreground 7th Moon. I believe with this chart we are faced head on with the multiplicity of meanings attached to each planet and the difficulty of choosing just the right aspects, positions and associations to correctly read the chart. It's not so simple as 'angular benefics or malefics.' The answer may be, as very skilled astrologers know, to use several different approaches and see if there is a consensus in the outcome for predictive situations.
