Guest guest
Hi Everyone, In scanning today I re-visited Chris Kevill's article on the election, only days away now. He predicts a Bush win in no uncertain terms. I couldn't read the article on-line because the typeface is way too small on my notebook computer, but I was able to copy the article into my mail program. I've noticed that many websites now use that oh-so-tiny typeface. I assume it's connected to a particular popular web program. I use an oldie (Hot Metal Pro) which uses a larger full-page typeface and single frames. Very old fashioned! Article by Chris Kevill: http://modernVedic Astrology.com/articlesUsElections2004.html Chris' Vedic Prediction: [begin quote] In conclusion, the predominance of these stations in Bush and Cheney's charts clearly demonstrate a Republican victory in November. While Bush will prevail this year, he still has Tecumseh's curse to contend with, not to mention a nasty Mercury dasha that begins in early 2006. [End Quote] From scanning the web, I believe that most Jyotish astrologers are predicting a Bush win. But this article says otherwise: http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2004/10/29/1098992292324.html?oneclick=true [begin quote] Indian astrologers say that the planets favour Democratic candidate John Kerry to win the White House race over US President George Bush in next Tuesday's polls. " For months opinion polls have shown the race between Bush and Kerry, his challenger, to be neck and neck, " said author and astrologer Lachhman Das Madan, who also heads the Astrology Study and Research Institute in Delhi. " But the cosmic writ reveals Bush cannot become the president of the US again. On the other hand, Kerry's horoscope shows that Saturn is in the third house from the moon which is highly favourable, " he said... [End Quote] (Click on the links to read the full articles by Chris and the Jyotish prediction. Well, when it's over (whenever that is) let's all review our techniques and analyze where they were right or apparently went wrong! Guest guest
Therese, I don't know what your settings are, but its still readable on my notebook computer and its a 12 year old dinosaur with a passive colour screen that's only 11.5 " . Maybe its your screen resolution? My eyes aren't great BTW. I was surprised to see that article on jyotishis calling for a Kerry win also. We forget however how opposed most Indians are too Bush and his policies. Sadly, this is as significant as any astrological perspective. I think SAMVA's Choudhry may have changed his mind at the last minute and is now calling for Kerry. I'm not sure, but will find out more. Maybe he's finally paying attention to the polls. Guest guest
Chris, I will have to drop a tart note to for taking up the American custom of updating his predictions by glancing at the television. Next he'll eat cow..crow? Dark*Star __________________ Christopher Kevill wrote: > I think SAMVA's Choudhry may have changed his mind at the last minute and is > now calling for Kerry. Maybe its your screen resolution? Chris, The reason the typeface is all right on your dinosaur of a machine is precisely because it's a dinosaur. It would be a straight VGA screen whereas the newer screens have some kind of high resolution setting that's preset. I already have my font setting on 'very large,' but for some reason this doesn't affect the tiny font size of web pages that many people are using now. >I was surprised to see that article on jyotishis calling for a Kerry win >also. We forget however how opposed most Indians are too Bush and his >policies. Sadly, this is as significant as any astrological perspective. Yes...we know how many countries of the world are opposed to Bush. I didn't work out my prediction on the basis of who I wanted to win. Actually after the 2000 election I didn't want anything to do with this election. But then I wondered if the winner could be seen using return charts. Last election my first time through saw Bush as the next president, but everyone around me was pro-Gore, so I finally changed my mind as it looked to me as if Gore would get the popular vote. Well, he did, but a lot of good it did him! A definite picture of allowing others to influence my thinking. This time I just used astrology, though like most astrologers I don't want to see another four years of Bush. The only 'if' is if we have incorrect birth times for Kerry and Edwards. >I think SAMVA's Choudhry may have changed his mind at the last minute and is >now calling for Kerry. I'm not sure, but will find out more. Maybe he's >finally paying attention to the polls. LOL Yes, let me know since I was tossed off of Choudhry's list. I know that Thor T. has been predicting Kerry all along, so the SAMVA view is different from the view of most Jyotish astrologers. Do you know what western Jyotish astrologers are predicting? (Aside from yourself.) (I was tosssed off the SATVA list also.) Therese

Even on newer screens, you still can choose 800x600 screen resolution. Go to control panel, then display, then the settings tab. My options even include a larger size 600x480. This will enlarge all images and words on the screen irrespective of font size. > > >I was surprised to see that article on jyotishis calling for a Kerry win > >also. I havent heard about any predictions from the ACVA heavy hitters, etc. The Choudhry reversal just happened two days ago (I think -- I only looked at it quickly) so Thor hasn't had much time to do a 180. I dont' get mail delivered from the SAMVA list any more, so I'll check in on the site and see what new follies are unfolding there. Guest guest
Therese, With Netscape you can zoom the pages very easy, by pressing 'Ctrl' and '+', much effective then in Microsoft browser. http://channels.netscape.com/ns/browsers/download_fullinstall.jsp But before download read if your computer is compatible http://channels.netscape.com/ns/browsers/sysreq.jsp , " Christopher Kevill " <christopher.kevill@s...> wrote: > Therese, > > - > " Therese Hamilton " <eastwest@s...> > > Friday, October 29, 2004 11:51 PM > Re: Chris K. on the Election > > > > > > At 04:52 PM 10/29/04 -0400, Chris wrote: > > > > > >I don't know what your settings are, but its still readable on my > notebook > > >computer and its a 12 year old dinosaur with a passive colour screen > that's > > >only 11.5 " . Thanks, Mihai, but I have too much going on to load and learn another browser. I think I already have Netscape on our local server CD, which we get for free. It's easier for me to simply block text and move it into my mail program where it's easy to read. I also don't like to change my screen resolution for just a few sites because then nothing else looks right on the screen. I'm leary of something going wrong with my computer, which is now four years old. Thanks again, Therese
