Juan,

Sorry about the confusion. Let me try again. I mean that first of all, the

sidereal zodiac is fixed when seen against the stars and constellations. It

doesn't move as the Tropical zodiac does.

O.K., how do we use signs? They are 30 degrees in length, each one. How do

signs manifest? One possibility is via harmonic action, what the Tropical

people call sign polarity, triplicities and qualities (cardinal, fixed,

mutable). Each sign is also supposed to have a planetary lord, and we look

at that lord as a dispositor to judge how a planet in a sign will act.

The above is all theory. Some astrologers swear by those harmonics (waves

of influence) and some will ignore them. I've tried to explore the

possibility that these harmonics may operate in the sideral zodiac on my

web site.

Now apart from signs of the zodiac we have the fixed stars and

constellations. If the stars and constellations really have an effect on

planets, then we need to look at these in the context of our zodiac. For

example, sidereal Libra is 2/3 the stars of Virgo and 1/3 the stars of

Libra. Do planets in the first two thirds of sidereal Libra express in a

different way than planets in the last third? In the same vein, do planets

in the section of Scorpio cut by Ophiuchus have a different tone than the

rest of the sign?

There might be a whole new astrology here, a refinement of each 30 degree

sign of the zodiac. Then there's the question if the stars in each lune of

the ecliptic also manifest in some way in the signs. (A lune is the cut

orange example I gave a while ago. The middle of the orange is the

ecliptic, and each slice culminates at the poles of the ecliptic. This

links virtually every constellation in the sky to one sign or another.

I hope this is clear.

I understand what you propose.... I can see how one could slice the :orange " as

you say and develop the lunes as " signs " .... I don't know how it might work but

the concept is interesting.....

The " lord " as designator? This is a vedic principle which you embrace... I

don't know how that works as a " compliment " with the signs.... If you have web

source for info on that I would check it out.....

Juan,

The lune concept is straight from one of the western sidereal fathers.(I

must say I was very surprised to see it...) I'll see if I can find the quote.

Give me a little time on this one. I'm going to check back through my

western sidereal texts as a background. In the meantime, can you give us

two or three examples of how you interpret or use the sidereal signs? Maybe

use your chart as an example or the chart of a well known person (Please

post the birth data if you use a well know person).

Or maybe you don't use signs at all? I'm not sure where today's sidereal

astrologers stand on signs since the emphasis is on the angularity of planets.
