Guest guest
Hi Therese and Cynthia and all, Most astrologers are forced to prove themselves. Here in Holland few scientists at the University are interested for astrology. For 30 years they are joined in study and research in a Society of research on Astrology and challenged by opposing scientists in different disciplines also gathered in another Society, which is directed by a Prof. emeritus in astronomy and connected over all universities. Using the tropical zodiac. Another example: A TV station, in Holland, invites scientists for a debate, sometimes, or information/meaning over currant events. Once a doctor was asked in to tell about his own recovery from cancer illnes and cured himself with diates with much fruit etc etc. The Tv-station also asked in an opponent of astrology (gynacologist and Chairman of the Society against " quacks " and natural medicines. He did not believe!! " Incurable " patients were cured succesfully from cancer and were present also. Furious was the gynaecologist!! He was the only one who doubted the cure. The ex-patients quite surprised about his grieve. Now I happened this week to read this gyneacologist's birthdate + place in an issue of a TV station. For the chart I chose the computer clocktime, tonight. His wife's birthdate was also inthere. For her I tried noontime. A nice connection together. She studied for teacher and now she is a museumdirector. Her Mercury is right on top of the chart which upholds my choice for noontime. At your advise Therese I casted his navamsa chart. I saw his Venus opp Uranus quite sharply (put around rx chart) I to VII. Nav Mc in Leo square Nav Asc. in Scorpio. His radix Mc is also in Scorpio. Navamsa Mercury conjunct Nav Neptune, in Aries, square his Rx first house (Eastpoint)in Capricorn, but trine Rx Ascendant in Sagitarius. The fixed signs -as I guessed before- are dominant;so it will be not easy ever to have him change his mind. Nav. Sun conjunct rx Sun in Taurus (radix IV). Hed is always asked in to express his meaning in a new " successtory " or " debacle " . Indeed gay charts are as unique as other charts. I studied several of them. Now I am going to study their Navamsa charts; sometimes later. Have one of you ever directed a chart with the rapidity of the Moon? By accident this week I this option in my Janus program. This sort of direction is quite interesting studying past events in my life to understand. Also interesting connected with the offspring's charts. Have a nice weekend! Anny ---------------------------- Have not seen it yet. > >http://www.astrology-and-science.com/pdf/phillintv-vsrhs.pdf > >The Phillipson interview linked to above provides an excellent overview. ------- Cynthia! You wrote The question I would ask you: What is scientific research in astrology? Scientific research is, that scientists, in each own profession, are trying to find the value of astrology in relation to their discipline, especially psychology, because the first chairman of society on research was a professor for psychology. Astrology is not yet officially adopted by Government. You wrote: There are times a chart literally shows an event. But the more charts a person reads the more variations one sees in the potential outcome. When I started astrology it was presented as a detailed predictive tool. That was 30 years ago and a tropical astrology. That was also how Vedic was presented. Again, following the rules, the results are not always the same. That the results are not always the same is because of the tropical zodiac, which is used. In England an insurance company " discovered " that Taurus people were the worse automobilists. Imagine! the Taurus???? For them a Taurus is probable for me the Aries (sidereal) The Taurus are just good drivers. My father never had any accident in 50 years. As long as the tropical zodiac is practiced as long the astrology will not be adopted as the principal tool for 100 % rendement/succes in profession. You wrote Many good astrologers predicted that our president would die in office last summer. Many more, myself included, read the chart and thought he would lose his father. Instead, former president Reagan died. He was a father figure to the current president. The U.S. mourned the death of a president, but it was not GWB. Indeed it is quite difficult to decide how a transite planet is going to work out. My experience is, it takes far more time to study the rulers and co-rulers in the radix chart and the horary;in case of President GWB: inclusive the chart of USA. Though I do not like ever to make such prognoses for any reason or in behalf to prove astrology. For all of you a nice weekend!
