Indeed the Saturnian man/woman tends to be melancholic, but it is even more manifest when Capricornus is conjunct Ascendant or Saturnus conjunct Ascendant. It is my experience. Queen Elisabeth II 's chart Capricornus is conjunct House I and her Saturnus conjunct MC in Scorpio. I practice the Meridian House system, with East Point conjunct I) East Point is as important as the Ascendant is my experience. I do not remember her tropical Ascendant.Never mind, forget about it. So it is not really confusing. :-) When I get someone's birth data, I get both a copy of their sidereal and tropical charts. I still have a lot of work to do, and might find out later on that I am wrong about this sign. But as with most signs, I notice that Cancer has several different types of personalities.
