No, you don't have it right! I'm not waiting for any scholarly approval.

I'm only talking about the study and translations of the ancient texts,

which they know how to do and we don't. (Now this is what I call a

lunar-Neptune type mix-up. I'm talking about the act of translation and you

jump to something called 'approval' of your work. Not the same thing.)

Again, this has nothing to do with translation and math. It doesn't matter

what ayanamsa you're using when working with a client, at least as long as

you don't use the navamsa chart to determine character.

Moon-Neptune for sure! Astrology has two sides: the strictly technical (let

the math people figure it all out) and the actual application when working

with human beings which requires a lot of intutition. (Moon-Neptune?)

Let's put it this way: One of those scholars wouldn't have the slightest

idea how to read a contemporary horoscope and work with clients. And you

wouldn't have the slightest idea how to translate ancient Babylonian

tablets. These are separate fields, and respect is due to each field of

work/study.

 

We turn to the experts when we don't know what we're talking about. We're

actually ahead of the scholars because they'll never be able to understand

astrology-as-intuition, but we can understand the figures they put on paper.
