Guest guest
List Members, A while ago Matthew and I were discussing whether ingress charts should fit together with the event charts. Matthew didn't think contacts were so important, but I noted that certain ingress charts did fit together very well with event charts. Since I'm new to ingress charts, I've kept my eye out for references. Looking through an old issue of SIDEREALIST magazine I found an article by Kenneth Bowser in which he progressed a CapLunar to the date of a DC-10 crash. Here's a quote from Ken's article: " Certainly the event chart tells a tale, but of course it must because if the Caplunar with attendant progressions...did not dovetail with the event chart, the unity of astrological symbolism and timing would be disproved with the result that very little, if anything, could be ascertained through astrological means..... " " Progressing the Lunar Return " by Kenneth B. Bowser (Siderealist, Vol. 2-1, 1980, p. 11) Ken points out various contacts betweent the chart of the crash and the Caplunar. Whether or not ingress and event charts should dovetail is another topic that we have to explore in studying the ayanamsa question. I realize that many siderealists consider the ayanamsa question closed because of Bradley's research. But in view of the lack of raw data to study and run various tests on, I'm still open on the ayanamsa. I've been looking through some of K.S. Krishnamurti's books, and he used various horary methods down to the second in adjusting the Lahiri ayanamsa by about 6 minutes. This is a totally different approach than Bradley used, but still, he 'discovered' a 6 minute adjustment. So there's more than one way of looking into the ayanamsa. In some of his articles, Bradley demonstrated how the Lahiri ayanamsa didn't check out. Based on the few earthquake charts I've set up, it's obvious that the Lahiri ayanamsa gives rather erratic results for Ingress charts compared to either Krishnamurti or Fagan-Bradley. Bradley may not have even heard of the Krishnamurti ayanamsa because the Lahiri value was what most Indian astrologers used. The K ayanamsa is a relative late comer. Just some thoughts...
