Dear JAIN and Sharat ji,

Sharat ji has given wrong example.

Navamsa chart indicates many aspects in life ,

marital relationship is one of them.

Navamsa chart is also called Dharmamsa also.

A good spouse is the result of dharmic life adopted in

last birth.Details may be seen from a book " Navamsa in Astrology

by C S Patel " published by Sagar Publication.

Whenever a planet is placed in a sign , and if its Navamsa sign falls in

6th,8th and 12th sign from it , the planet obtains some blemish..The extent of

blemish is to be accessed based on other factors also.

In the case of Jupiter is in Cancer sign , and obtains Navamsa's

of Sagittarius-6th and Aquarius

8th ,Jupiter will obtain some blemish ,but less in Sag,. Navamsa.

Main birth chart if taken as body , Navamsa chart acts as spirit.

Dear Varun ji

The 6/8 position as explained by Mr Goel may not hold true. Mainly the navamsha

chart is seen to analyse the strength of a planet and also for

marriage/relationsh ip aspect. so a planet can be in exaltation in birth chart

but if debilitated in navamsha, would lose strength. So an exalted Jupiter in

Natal chart and jupiter in own sign in Navamsha can not be termed a bad

combination. This way anybody having Saggitarius lagna and an exalted Jupiter in

the 8th from lagna would be termed malefic, which is not the case in reality.

Your logic about Jupiter in an inimical nakshatra seems quite sound!!

Respected Jain saheb,

When a planet crosses over 16 deg 40 min in Cancer, it moves into

Ashlesha nakshatra. The swami [lord] of this nakshatra is mercury.

Therefore Jupiter with more than 16d40 ansha in Cancer, although in a

rasi of its exaltation, gets placed in a nakshatra lorded by a planet

hostile to Jupiter. It is like staying in a house owned by an enemy.

Under these circumstances Jupiter will not be comfortable and may not

be in a position to give results commensurate with its exalted rasi.

This could become all the more certain if the mercury is badly placed

in the Janma Kundali and the Jupiter is devoid of any help from other

friendly planets.

This is a well known Vedic astrology dictum, equally applicable for Lal

Kitab, that when a planet gets placed in a nakshatra lorded by a

hostile planet, it might give malefic results depending on other

planetary placements in the janma kundali.

Therefore, it is always advisable to keep in mind which nakshatra the

planet is placed in.

Dear Varun ji,

Planets are lords of signs.

Nakshatras are deep in sky and planets are not the lords of Nakshatras.

In Vimsottari Dasa it is loosely said that such and such planet is the lord of

such and such Nakshatra to indicate its affinity.

Whenever a planet transits any nakshatra it gives its independent results predominantly.

In Vimsottari dasa these results will also depend on the placement of Mercury vis a Vi's Jupiter.

When Jupiter in Aslesha , indicative results may be as under:

1st pada;AMPLE WEALTH,GOOD WIFE AND CHILDREN.If Venus is in debility

1st wife may die and marry again.

2nd pada:He will be scholar, charitable and endowed with truth and penance.

3rd pada:The wife of the native will bring enormous wealth

4th pada:Attain high position in govt. job

Results will vary if aspected by other planets.

Respected Goel Saheb,Thank you sir for this explanation. This adds to my knowledge.I had explained this slightly differently. The jupiter enters Ashlesha after 16Ca40 and since this nakshatra is ruled by Mercury therefore the results of an exalted Jupiter may not be as good as expected. With great respect and regards,Varun Trivedi , Gopal Goel <gkgoel1937@ ...> wrote:>> Dear Jain,> Signs> Cancer and Sagittarius are in 6/8 disposition which is> considered as inimical in astrology.> When Jupiter is in cancer and obtains degrees in between> 16deg40' and 20deg , it will falls in Sagitt.
