You can call it divine guidance if you wish but it has nothing to do with Astrology. John Hi John! You surprise me with your remark/opinion. Various " leaders " formerly have been thinking they were sought out by fate (with the granting of Divine Guidance) in earlier times. For astrologers it is interesting to study these charts why they thought of that. Such as Hitler's chart. There is again a film about Hitler, brought out in Germany, despite protests from Germany folks. Indeed it is interesting to note, that Bush Jr 's Sun is conjunct the Fixed Star Sirius and Canopus, with half a degree's orb. The Moon's node is conjunct Bellatrix orb half degree. That is the right leader's horoscope. Although people hope John Kerry will do better........ the fixed stars.......?!?! His Pluto and Moon's node are both conjunct Asellus Australis. Mc conjunct Denebola! See for yourself. I quiver!!! I am curious about astrologer Kelley's consideration about the candidates. I saw her book today, about the family Bush, in the bookschop. I regret I did not buy it. Too thick to hold on reading for a long time, actually. Perhaps she chose the wrong time for Iraq war as is wrongly chosen for the date for the transfer 28th of June? Regards, Anny ---------- Therese! For me an eyeopener. Regards, Anny Do not like to delete it. For anyone over 50 or perhaps 45 I think the question of " What is my life's purpose, " or " What WAS my life's purpose? " becomes rather critical. This is when we're getting older and we realize that many of life's dreams were not fulfilled. I believe there are two answers to the question of meaning. The first answer, and the most important, is (in my opinion) expressed best by Mary Summer Rain in WOODSMOKE: Honor the Divine Show compassion Gain wisdom Share talents Respect life Be just Pratice unconditional goodness Love others Banish hatred and intolerance Speak kindly Nurture children Protect earth Increase peace The above are far more than one lifetime's work, but this is what life is *really* all about. Life sets each of us up in circumstaces that continually force us to face the above issues and examine our feelings, actions and beliefs. Mostly when people ask, " What is my life's purpose, " they're really asking, " What am I supposed to *DO* without thinking of what am I supposed to *be*? O.K., the second question is about DOing. I believe this question is hidden in the horoscope, and a good counselor can draw it out of the client by careful and sensitive questioning. This would be a wonderful astrological question to hash out among astrologers at seminars (or perhaps on-line?) in relation to themselves--thereby gaining insight into where to look in the horoscopes of clients for the same question. Maybe you can start with yourself, Cynthia? You probably have a good view of your own purpose as far as DOing. Where is this in your horoscope? I can try to answer this question for myself a bit later. (Lately I have only small blocks of internet time.) Blessings, Therese I forgot to add the final thought to Mary Summer Rain's list of " Our Purpose. " " The above behaviors balance karma naturally. You are not here to create your own reality...that is not in keeping with why you are here. " ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The concept of karma is foremost in many people's minds today, thanks to Eastern thought making its way into the western world. Jyotish (Vedic astrology) has brought the concept of karma into the astrological community. I believe what MSR means by the above statement is that the soul (as shown in the navamsa chart??) has one purpose, while the personality (the 'create your own reality' new age part of our psyche) may have its own purpose. If these two purposes are in conflict, the result will be unhappiness, restlessness, guilt and all the other negative emotions we have to contend with. So as astrologers--how can we distinguish the soul's purpose from the ego's interests? How can the personality--our conscious mind--best express our soul's purpose? We know when transiting Saturn comes along, it's asking us to break an unhealthful karmic situation or thought process. To let go. Just one thought.... Guest guest
Dear Anny I do not think that Kitty Kelley is an astrologer. She did write about former president Reagan and Mrs. Reagan's use of astrologers. The bod thing about Kelley's writings is that she has a lot to say, but does not have sources who will be identified. As a reader, you believe her if you dislike the victim, subject, of her book. It makes me very sad when this type of book comes out. I feel that it brings out the worst in man unkind. Gossip is a nasty tool and it seems to be used more and more. I don't know why this is. I suspect it has something to do with the outer or transpersonal planets on one side of the heavens and the personal planet on the other. Perhaps we are grabbed by the great serpent Rahu and Ketu and swept along. These are challenging times. I appreciate the dialogue here. cynthia Anny van Berckel [avbdk] Tuesday, September 28, 2004 12:01 PM RE: Digest Number 902 Message: 1 Sun, 26 Sep 2004 10:27:19 -0700 " John Ficquette " <jficquette Re: Digest Number 901 Hi, Bush will win the election because he is a force of good for the world. " force of good " , is of course open to debate. Ron
