Kit, I'm happy you're off all the drugs. It sounds like you were a person the medical profession used for experiments. Just this month a boy on medication for bi-polar disorger committed suicide. One good thing--there have been articles in the newspapers recently warning that doctors have to be very careful in prescribing for teenagers. > Astrology was my savior. We've often said that about the ADHD child in our family. If she could only find a way to channel the energy. But my work has suffered terribly since leaving meds. Can study only briefly in morning, then I'm reading babble which I can't retain. Not a happy way to live....Straterra (spelling?) seems to be helping the child in my family to concentrate and work. She greatly enjoys reading, but math seems to give her trouble. She's only 7 years old. She gets a break from medication on the weekends and sometimes during the summer. You can tell it's localized--I mean it doesn't seem to leave permanent traces because it's very obvious when it runs out. Then she's her normal crazy self. What were the side effects? For the child in my family, it took quite a while for it to change her behavior. The drug seemed to need a buildup period. I have one possible suggestion. In thousands of readings Edgar Cayce recommended something called " The Radiac appliance. " It's some sort of battery with carbon steel. It sits in ice water and is connected to the wrists and ankles. Cayce said it balanced and harmonized the energies in the body. I use it very moderately because I find it too calming. Makes me sleepy. I notice though that if I'm feeling impatient or angry, using this device seems to eliminate those Mars type feelings. I wonder if it might be helpful for you. It's a bit pricy--around $200. It may be described on the company's website: http://www.baar.com Blessings, Therese
