Dos and Don'ts for Jupiter

Adding on to shri Kulbir ji's write ups for Jupiter :

 

Dos :

 

[ 1 ] Worship Lord Vishnu, in any form of his incarnations.

[ 2 ] Serve and respect elders

[ 3 ] Keep in a purse/wallet a small haldi ganth [ whole turmeric ]

wrapped in a yellow cloth.

[ 4 ] Water a Peepal tree.

[ 5 ] Offer free service at any religious place.

[ 6 ] Wear Gold [ except when the Jupiter is in the 6th house or 10th

house]

[ 7 ] Apply kesar / haldi tilak between the eye brows or above the

navel [ naabhi]

[ 8 ] Have light yellow curtains in the house

[ 9 ] Have sunflowers in the garden

[ 10 ] Gift the karak objects of Jupiter like books etc if the

Jupiter debilitated or badly placed.

[ 11 ] Should gift some thing to the Kul Purohit, and seek his

blessings at least once a year.

[ 12 ] Carry a yellow handkerchief [ except when Jupiter in 10th]

[ 13 ] Should clean his nose with water before starting a new

venture.

[ 14 ] Should pay for the shroud for an unclaimed body.

[ 15 ] Should be God fearing and religious.

[ 16 ] Should have `choti' on his head.

 

 

Don'ts :

 

[ 1 ] Should not give false evidence, or cheat any one, should not

lie,

[ 2 ] Should not insult or harass the elders.

[ 3 ] Should not accept donations.

[ 4 ] Should neither eat nor make some one eat `jhootha'

[ 5 ] If Jupiter in the 2nd house, he should neither live in a house

facing south nor should get married in the south.

[ 6 ] If Jupiter in the 4th house, should not take off his clothes

and show bare body.

[ 7 ] Jupiter in the 6th house, should not wear gold

[ 8 ] Jupiter in the 7th house, should not let his wife be the head

of the family. He should not be over religious. He should not gift

his old clothes to any one. Should not get very devoted to sadhus.

[ 9 ] Jupiter in the 10th, should not give food to a beggar, should

not wear gold, should avoid yellow clothes.

[ 10 ] Jupiter in the 12th, should not wear a rosary [ mala ] of

round beads.
