Guest guest
Respected Ramanuj ji, Yes, this concept of gifting to poor, or feeding it to an animal associated with that planet or gifting at a temple or immersing in a river, a karak object equal to the weight of the native for a planet exists in Lal Kitab also. This is done for malefic planets and for different reasons. Suppose the wife is seriously ill , in that case the karak object of Venus like Juar [ millets ] will be used. It can be gifted to poor or given to a cow [ venus ]to eat, in that case the purpose would be to appease Venus. It can be gifted at a temple, the purpose would be to make the planet swear in the presence of a deity that it will behave. It can be immersed in a river and the purpose would be to distance the effects of the malefic planet. The Lal Kitab incorporates most of the age old traditions of our Indian culture.
