Most navamsas are based on the Lahiri ayanamsa used in Jyotish, so there will be almost a nine degree difference in the navamsa-novien positions with the Fagan-Allen ayanamsa. This will frequently change the sign in the novien chart. The difference between Lahiri and Fagan seems small, but it becomes rather large if you use the novien or navamsa chart. I settled on the Lahiri-navamsa after a lot of research. But this needs to be investigated all over again now that we have huge collections of timed horoscopes.
