Guest guest
Hi, I am new to the this group, and to the study of Sidereal Astrology. Been looking into it for about 2 months or so. It sure has answered a lot of questions for me; that's for sure. Now that I have discovered it, I realize, of courrse my chart is fire oriented (7 planets/luminaries in fire signs) as opposed to earth-heavy, as I have believed for years! No wonder I dash about through life, never creating the standard life foundations of more " grounded " folks.....and the freer and more independent I am, the happier. Very un-earth like indeed! At any rate, I have always paid attention to the moon phases......by sign and whether it is void of course. The question now seems to be HOW to follow the Moon by sign and VOC. In sidereal.....shall I just subtract the 23 degrees and figure the sign THAT way, or do we calculate the Moon as we do in Tropical? Seems that even if we do it with the Sidereal.....that it will be very difficult to determine when it is void of course? A more tangible question is.......how do we know when it's the New Moon? If the tropical world says the new moon in Sag was Dec. 4, and in Sidereal.....we believe the Sun is in Scorpio.......shall we subtract 23 degrees from the tropical moon and find WHEN the Moon first hits Scorpio to discover when the New Moon is? Basically.........because the Moon is so close to the Earth and orbits the Earth (not the Sun, like most every other planet)........how does Sidereal really apply measurement and sign interepretation to the Moon? I guess I have a blind spot on this subject, and any links or articles that talk of this would be most appreciated. Hope this makes sense! Thanks, Robin
