Dear Mr Rao,

Up to now, I had thought Bush had the edge. Now that Kerry has picked John

Edwards (Jun 10 1953 7.02 EST Seneca, SC Asc 18 Gemini) for his VP running

mate, I'm not so sure. Edwards' chart looks very strong for November 2.

Re: RE: [jyotish-list] Is Bush a sure winner ?

If we see astrologically, the position of Bush is weak definitely

and the position of Kerry and Edwards is not challengingly strong enough.

It is almost like the Indian election of 2004 which gave us such a

fractured mandate 138 to BJP and 144 to Congress in a parliament of 545

members. It was a ludicrous situation and the present government is talking

of having received a " mandate " .

Similarly, in USA the election scene has become hazy. What decides

the fate is the heavy voting by committed voters.

I looked at Teresa Kerry's return charts today. They are very strong for

her husband's victory. Also I agree that Edwards' chart looks good for

coming out on top. I've used only the cyclic solar returns, lunar returns

and enneads. I haven't looked at any kind of progressions and don't plan

to. In general the birth locale charts give a clearer picture. Teresa

Kerry's birth locale and Washington D.C. charts are vastly different

because she was born in Africa. I take the view that our birth horoscopes

are within us, and we carry them with us wherever we go.

Cheney's return charts are not happy charts. I've never felt I had a handle

on GW's horoscope, and I'm not quite satisfied with Kerry's birth time. I

haven't had time to check out various years for events in his life.

Therese
