Although 1/5/80 means 1 May 1980 in most countries, in others it means 5 January. I spent hours doing someone's chart for them, only to discover I had the wrong Sun sign because they'd quoted the date differently Spelling out the month is always unambiguous. Chris. Guest guest
Chris... You are so right!!! Cyril Fagan visited a class that I was taking on the subject of Sidereal Astrology years ago. Knowing that I would not be there for his visit I left my birthdata with the teacher to pass it on... Instead of writing out the birthdata as you suggest I did what Vince(can't remember his name(NOT-SHEEP) did and just wrote out the numbers. Mr. Fagan was Irish and he had been living in this country for years. He still interpreted in the European fashion of day/month/year instead of the month/day/year fashion utilized in the US of A. Upon my return, I was given a nice hand drawn chart with his hand written delineation of the chart included. Unfortunately it was meaningless and I tossed it never to meet him in person as he died months later. dodo happens! Hi Vince, These are the Lahiri positions, which puts the planets 53 minutes ahead of Fagan-Bradley. January 5 puts the MC in the right place. >All that can be said about my life right now is that absolutely >nothing is happening. At this moment the world has no clue that i >exist at all. First, a word of encouragement! Feeling like this seems to be a sign of times. I know others who have the same complaint, but nevertheless, it's a sad complaint. Vince, all of us on this list know you exist, (Welcome to our world!)...so let's see.... Neptune is a bit of a fuzzy planet when it comes to practical concerns like holding down a job. Neptune can act just as you decribed in your paragraph. I think that perhaps Pluto sitting on Neptune is increasing Neptune's influence in your life. It's sort of like an accent mark. Neptune might be great for meditation and spiritual reading, but it's not so much at home in the world. You share your birth date with a great Yogi, Paramahansa Yogananda, who was also born on January 5 (in India). He was always 'up and at it,' however. Your solar return for this year has the Sun near the ascendant. Ordinarily the Sun brings some kind of recognition, but sometimes when it's near the ascendant, it just directs the energy to yourself and your personal life. The SR ascendant is in the 11th natal house, which highlights the natal Pluto in the 8th. Both these houses are away from your chart angles, so it's difficult to get any energy moving to accomplish what your want to. You do have the solar Mars conjunct the solar midheaven, but Moon-Neptune is squaring this Mars and may be robbing it of energy. If you use the equal house cusps, which I use, your solar return planets are in the background or middle ground away from the angles. Well, this year is nearly over, and I wonder if you've noticed anything about Mars conjunct the solar M.C.? I'm using your birthplace chart which I've found can work as well as the local chart, espsecially if not much is happening in life. (Sidereal astrologers swear by the locale charts, but in a recent California election, Arnold S, the Terminator, had a beautiful birthplace solar return chart, and he was born in Europe. He easily won the race for governor. His California chart didn't look as good.) Also in this current solar return you have he Moon conjunct Neptune--more Neptune!--and opposed by Jupiter. Since these planets are in 2-8, the energy is internal and doesn't manifest in events. Both of these planets can be dreamy and unmotivated. In your solar return navamsa you have the Moon conjunct Venus. Venus itself may be great for love, but it's not an energetic planet when it's with the Moon. Also in the navamsa chart your Sun is between Saturn and Uranus in the 12th house from the ascendant and...again...more Neptune...Neptune is opposing the ascendant and squaring Moon-Venus. (Do you have a big stack of spiritual books you're reading??!) There is only a month left in this solar year, so let's look at your next solar return. Your 2004 SSR has three planets aspecting the ascendant (angular from the ascendant). Jupiter in Leo in the 4th, Pluto in the 7th (wide orb) and Uranus at the top of the chart in Aquarius. The ascendant is 13TA37. SSR Saturn is opposing the Sun, which should bring changes, although with some difficulty. Saturn is also with the Moon, but Jupiter is angular and trines the Sun and Mercury in the 8th. The angular Jupiter is conjunct natal Mars at 21 Leo. Since Scorpio is on your natal 10th and Mars is the planet associated with Scorpio, this should bring some kind of new opportunity. Natal Jupiter is also angular in the solar return chart. You'll have to try to work with Jupiter and push Saturn around a little. Don't let it depress your Sun! With Uranus, Jupiter and Pluto angular, next year should being some changes and flucuation. Uranus is often up and down. Pluto will continue to conjoin your natal Neptune next year. I'm hoping that someone on this list can give you some specific predictions for the coming year. I won't write anything more tonight because it's late and I have to prepare to be away tomorrow. I can note which planets are angular in the solar return chart, but I can't see the specifics of how they will act. Uranus-Pluto, however, should make next year more interesting then the present year. >Thanks for your interest Therese. Strangely i had a dream about a >girl named therese this morning that i haven't talked to or so much as >thought about in years. Strange how the mind works. Maybe this is one manifestation of Pluto conjunct Neptune! Your subconsious mind used the symbol of someone you once knew to let you know that a person with the same name would reply to your post.... I wish you the very best, Vince, and will check back on Sunday. Make yourself take a vigorous walk every day. That's how I beat the doldrums! Sincerely, Therese
